Cant get GTA SA to work on Windows 7

I'm sure this has been asked before, but the search feature on this new design is garbage.

I got a new computer finally, a windows 7, so I transferred my GTA SA files onto a thumbstick from my old XP onto here, but when I try and start the game conventionally, I get through the title screens, but then it crashes, and when I try and start through SAMP I get a message saying "Unable to execute"

I'm guessing my files went corrupt during transfer, but I thought I'd ask to see if anyone here had any ideas before I went and bought a new copy.

Just create your registration and download this.If it's not working try to connect to bulgarian IP and download it then follow the description to install it and after installation download SAMP patch.

Can you provide me with a picture of the crash/bug/error or a log please?

Like I said, it was ripped from my old computer and put in here, so it's anything but clean, and not gonna lie, the original was not obtained legally so I have no way to cleanly install it. I just don't want any of that piracy crap on this computer, trying to get away from all that, I just want to see if I can fix this, but I doubt it. :P

did you copy the crack into the installation folder, did you install your GTA again after you copied the ''files"?
