Story,how it all began
The origin of the Cosa Nostra is believed to trace back to early Sicily. The government of mainland San Fierro at the time was unable to truly enforce law and order on the island, and violence and gang-like affiliations centered around family connections were common. Over the course of about a hundred years, many of the rituals and codes of conduct associated with the mafia developed as Sicilian clans (called "Cosa Nostra Cartel") gained control of the port of San Fierro and its lucrative citrus exporting business. The rise of fascism in SF under Stabika, who specifically targeted the Sicilian mafia, led to an exodus of Cosa Nostra cartel, including Vincent and Gillbert, who would gain power and prominence in Los Santos City.
