I wonder how this will look in two years. Perhaps we'll even have 4 different Russian servers by then. :D

Too bad the Argonath Vision doesn't talk about the international DNA of this community.. which is actually the first thing that makes Argonath Argonath.
Why would it? We support players worldwide. The English only in main chat rule is just for speaking, not ethnicity. :)

I really need to agree with Paco in this point, this idea will divide the community and will not really stay international. You do as you wish, but at least take it into consideration.
There still hasn't been a single person who has explained in a legitimate way as to how this would split the community. If we are adding players to the community, that would only help it grow. For those unable to speak English, that is why there is a Russian group. If they can speak English, they will join the rest of the community too. That doesn't split anything. If anything at all, that merges players into Argo itself.

Apparently you've never heard of a Molotov Cocktail. ;)

It's not vodka, it's boomshine!

On a positive note, would this not mean increased player flow for the English-speaking servers as well?

I just hope that this will not serve to truly cause a divide within the community.

The most important part is interacting with others and meeting people from around the world.

If any of the Russian players also speak English, it could very well increase the flow of players to the other servers too. Even just by word of mouth and popularity alone, it helps make our community even larger, which leads to even more players that aren't even related to the Russian or English-speaking players themselves.

But when I ask for a board where people can have discussions in their language, it becomes world war III.

That is an issue relating to those discussing it. It's not so much an overall-community problem, but an issue with differing opinions.

Not at all. Just we should think about if it needs to be set on a subdomain and separated or not. The board list is already long enough as it is, and seeing a lot of strange language posts in the unread topics might also be an issue.

It should be sub domain separated, that way they can have that entire forums to there likings rather than having a board here, as it would only add confusion to the Russian and English players.

The problem there is then you are separating the community again.

Your really not...I mean who are you separating? Current Members? or future members, you would end up making very cluttered forums if you don't separate the domains, then some of the English topics might turn English/Russian and there would be more SA:MP boards saying the same thing. There is nothing wrong with separating sub domains because Minecraft does it just fine.

Why would any of them become Russian? The forum rules here don't change.

As for Minecraft, I have to disagree. It gets very little attention compared to the main forums mainly because of it being separated.

We would be separating the servers via forums so the Russians would have there forums and this forum would change. So if the forum rules here don't change we would have to give them there sub domain.

The new Russian server would still be apart of Argonath and it would have it's own sub domain so the Russian speakers have Russian forums...I don't understand where you are going with this...

I don't see why it should be separated but yeah, the unread post topic is indeed a problem.
