For starters you can't even spell Wales, and yes, the UK would exsist, it's been here since 1801 managing independently and has survived through ALL the problems that have hit it, it didn't even get invaded in the WW's no matter how much the nazi's tried, why would something such as the USA going bankrupt affect the UK in any way at all, it would not.. I don't know how you're educated in economics but clearly you need to study it alot more, the only thing it would effect is the USA and anyone who's been investing money in them.. I mean honestly get your facts straight man.

No.. The Antarctic territory shown on the British Empire map is still British territory today, infact the British Govt renamed it to 'Queen Elizabeth Land' last year.

I'm argentinian. The Falklands are non-self-governing territories. They are British by rapture and war, and argentinian by continental shelf, heritage and geographical position. The only problem here is the patriotism. Why are we debating about a little and cold piece of earth? :poke:

 British won them by war, accept that. If we assume that territories gained by war aren't valid, we'll have to modify the entire world map :/

why should she drop it when she's pushing shit hard enough that we might just get the islands, even if it's not really fair? The goverment knows it's a load of crap, but it's working great for the country - common enemy and all that.

I doubt we'd just hand over the islands after all we've lost men and women over them, so to just give them to Argentina some would say is a waste of those people's lives. The only time that we would give them to Argentina is if the Falkland Islanders want it, which we shall see in the upcoming referendum. But as it seems at the current most consider themselves British and want to stay that way.

It's very unlikely it will happen now, but in 20-30 years I can see the situation being a bit more different.

I have a fair solution for this. Just make the islands independent. Then no one can have them, and the people will be left alone instead of being put in the middle of a pre-war situation. :razz:

In all seriousness, it's unfortunate that the whole world can't just get along. Our race is indeed a sad one. We can only hope a peaceful resolution comes from this, but I'm doubting it, as much as I hate to say it.
