Hello there,

I've had a problem where I join Argonath and my packetloss just increases up to 20% and I lose connection. Sometimes if I'm lucky I manage to bear through and play for like 20 minutes, but then I crash and its the same shit all over again.
I've tried lots of stuff, I've changed a shitload of stuff in the router settings, but yet no luck.
My internet is wireless, there are 3 PCs in the network connected via cables. All other servers seem to work fine, its just Argonath.

What I've tried:
• Disabling Anti-Virus.
• Re-installing the game & VC:MP (also in another directory).
• Calling my ISP (they told to disable firewall in router settings, but no luck).
• Tinkering with the wireless antenna.
• Trying if it works on another PC in the network (spoiler: it doesn't).
• Try installing via another CD & using another no-cd crack.
• Telling my ISP to f**k off.
• Raging.
_________
If anyone manages to fix this, expect an award (500K in SA:MP or 1 mil in VC:MP).

Still, its just Argonath VC:MP that doesn't work, every other server is fine.

Get rid of both VCMP directories, user files etc. Download one of those free registry cleaners which go further than CCleaner will even venture and fix every single registry error that it detects (do create backups or you'll lose important files that may affect you in the future). Or you could try to reinstall windows, but that really wouldn't be convenient.

OMFG No, don't ever use any registry cleaners! You have been warned!

It always fucks up the systems and you'll need to re install your windows and everything!

Just use this -

http://www.auslogics.com/en/software/disk-defrag/

Not sure if free version will let you defrag a directory only, if it doesn't, just do a full defrag. Will save you from headache of re installing stuff.

I clean my register using CCleaner on all my machines, every month. I have done this to all my laptops and PCs, and others', for over four years. Never have I had any problems, and it usually speeds up the PC.

The whole point is to get rid of files that are no longer in use, and if somehow a file that's still in use gets deleted, a new one would automatically be made by the program as soon as you would run the application that it regards.

So perhaps you should look into it again, and take back your warning. ;)
