So guys, ArmA 3 Alpha was released on Monday and from what I have seen so far it has definitely lived up to it's expectations. I'm a massive ArmA fan and have been looking forward to ArmA3 ever since it was announced so I grabbed a copy of the alpha as soon as I could.

The level of detail which the developers have put into this game is just immense. Just take a look at a few of these videos:

If you are interested in ArmA I would seriously recommend grabbing the alpha version of ArmA 3 as it is very cheap at the moment and when the full game is released you'll receive it for free if you took part in the alpha.

I already bought Arma II, but my shitty computer can't run it ;/

The thing I don't get is, when I go on ' http://www.systemrequirementslab.com ' it shows that my computer have passed the requirements and shouldn't get any troubles running it.
But when I start the game, my FPS is between 5-10

Yes. Your PC handles the free version of ArmA 2 well, but if you're playing the paid version or worse, Operation Arrowhead, your computer just doesn't cut it.

Try lowering the graphics to minimum settings, the game will look pretty bad but it might make it playable.


As for ArmA III it's looking good. I'll try to beg for one of those guest invites that come out March 14th.

Oh yeah, I bought Arma II and Operation Arrowhead on steam. My graphics settings is already on the lowest as well.

I raised graphics to highest possible in Aram II F2P lol and got only 9-10 FPS too, even though the graphics was still shitty. Maybe Arma II just isn't synced well like most famous games.

Tested it out today, I can say that is far more improved than Arma II, the environment looks much better, the physics, the customization of the player and of the weapon ..etc It looks awesome

yeah it's pretty unoptimized. decent graphics, but they tax your PC way too much
