Just to be safe, if you're using a compressor don't blast it with too much pressure or you can end up with issues, be careful with that.
A PC could overheat in a few seconds without adequate cooling, so if there's quite a bit of dirt in that fan, it may overheat that quickly.

But, you said you can use the mouse, if you click it freezes, makes me think that it is still an OS related issue.
When it beeps, what sort of beep? A long beep or a few beeps for example?

1 beep of half a second.

As Madboi said, I'd like to add to it. First of all, did you try the re installing OS solution?

If yes, then I recommend you contact a laptop engineer as they know how to properly clean the fan, I remember having huge dust monsters living inside mine the last time I got it fixed. (old one)

Easiest way to not get dust in the fans, don't run it on your lap, don't run it on top of any cloth/material.
Only use it on a hard surface, be that a book or a solid and flat desk.

Are you familiar with electronics? Or hardware functionality at least?

I don't mean "thinking" that you can, I mean actually having a technician degree or similar.
If not PM me after you try all the ideas above and we can try fix that the hard way (if the hardware isn't burned of course).

No matter what surface you use it on, the fan will be full of dust in a year, max. And that'll cause loads of problems.

and only a technician can fix it, as the laptop needs to be opened up and every single bit of fan taken apart for a proper cleaning.

The fans are more prone to packing up and getting clogged up with dirt when used on surfaces like clothing, it's simple.
They are designed to pull cool air from below the laptop, they can't pull cool/fresh air if they're being clogged up by cloth/material.

And no, most of the time you don't need to pull the laptop apart to clean the fans if you don't allow them to get filled with dirt in the first place.
