I tried to join, but it said I used some modified .dll file so I quit. Anyway, I may get a clean copy some day and check it out!

Remove it. I did the same, it was my ENB.
Most modifications aren't supported by MTA.

Mario gave me a tour of the MTA:SA server today and I was very impressed, some of the features are really interesting and add real depth and immersion to the game.

I cannot encourage you all enough to try it out; there is still a lot of pending development but if the current content is anything to go by it deserves the attention of the community.

Take some friends with you, spend a bit of time there role-playing and getting to know the content and if you like it, perhaps stay a while!

P.S. Try the tram, see how long you survive!
