Nope, but as a IT Student studying computers day in a day out i know about these things, the best thing to do is also YouTube the computer etc.. and see what people can play, and search for games what can be played on it, my personal opinion it sounds like a medium/high end gaming laptop, with the latest generation of processor your bound to be able to play most of the new games.

I saw people playin bf3 on high and medium setting and GTA 4 on high setting I think.If its great then the laptop is final.

GT650M beats it by par.

GT650M is ranked 36th, while Radeon 7730 is ranked 99.

About your previous questions, there won't be a single frame rate difference in games like SA and GTA IV between i5 and i7. i5 is a gamer chip. :p i7 is for pro work.

Then the one you chose is more than best!
Just make sure to read some reviews on it by google search. Better know first hand if it heats up a lot or if GPU throttles.


7730 is better than GT630. Try and see if you can find a laptop with any other GPU from that list's top 100. :p

And its always switching btw xD Last year I too liked AMD GPUs, but man, after experiencing NVIDIA support, I must say its awesome! Think about it yourself, when did Resident Evil : Revelations come out? 21st May, 2013, yes 4 days ago. And we already got official driver update for it on 23rd! and beta was available since a month already!

In NVIDIA, The first number depicts the series (year, generation) the higher the better. And second number depicts the level of the GPU , the higher the better again.

So it goes like this.

GT610 < GT620 < GT630 < GT640 < GT650 and so on.

Same with newer series 7, which is rarely available as of yet.
GT710 < GT720 < GT730 < GT740 < GT750

Series 7 might be newer but a GT710 won't be better than GT630. That's all you should know. :p

You should know that Sony Vaio are simply the best, unfortunately they cost a lot.

On the contrary, the OLD Sony Vaios were good, the new ones are a bag of shit.

Old machines had a superb metal chassis, the new ones merely use the base plastic of the machine to keep it's shape.
This may not sound too bad until you consider that the motherboard is mounted directly to this flimsy plastic frame, and every time you open and close the laptop lid, it flexes the motherboard. The heatsink has a tendency of pulling off the chip, laptop overheats and dies, you then need a new one.

Stay away from Vaios, trust me.

Please if anyone can find the laptop with these specs under 800$

Core I5 3rd gen
8gb ram
2gb nvidia GeForce gt 650m
500 or 750gb HDD
720p display or slightly greater
15.6" display

I searched laptops with such specs but couldn't find one under 800$.

The specifications look perfect for your requirements, as was quoted above, its not a bad performer, as the CPU and the GPU of the laptop are quite high end, in my honest opinion i would say go for it!
