Apparently there have been several reasons during the past and now for the people to protest against the current government. The riots began as government is planning to tear down a park and raise a mall. There have already been unconfirmed reports of up to 7 deaths and injuries of up to 500, including protesters losing their vision by police rubber bullets due to the excessive force and police brutality.

I've been in the protests for last two days, It's like free cops spamming pepper sprays(But instead they have pepper gas bombs) and they have infinite source of them. Police brutality is still continuing and there have been many injured and a few dead people.

The outrage began when the government decided to build a mall and tear down one of the last green areas in Constantinople. I am pretty sure there are way more reasons than that of course such police brutality, recent ban of alcohol etc.
