Well I guess you could let everyone know about it ... before it is needed but yeah forsure the DDoSer would also find his way ... Maybe telling it only to 1month+ players or so ... like sending 1000 messeges a day ... so everyone will know it in idk .. some months?

Changing the server ip and keeping it hidden won't work there are 100 ways to discover the new ip-adress and the ip-adress has already changed a few time by my knowledge. We just need to find the people who are doing those attacks as i think it is illegal in most of the countries.

Okay that much ... But infact some users could be playing in like 2 hours (many of them I hope) . Well nvm ... Its not really worth it after all . I mean the server will probably get up tomorrow so lets wait ... it wouldnt be fare of the others if some could get their ip updated but they couldnt ... and something on that ... Wouldnt the DDoSer also get the ip?

Why don't you make a DDo's Attack Protection team that will have access to the System 24/7 like 50 people 25 people daily and 25 people at the night so we will have a chance to block them

Well that must be without money ... and what will those guys take for exchange? I mean its hard work ... they cant spent their time on that

No such program exists. Absolutely nothing can be done short of taking the system offline that they are attacking, which to users has the same, exact effect.

Not true. There is no ultimate solution to (D)DoS attacks, except for having a bandwidth that is greater than the bandwidth of the entire internet.

All they do is use very powerful, expensive systems to take the packets and split them thousands of ways so the load is very small, all while still allowing legitimate traffic through. Basically it's like 100 more users being on a website at once, but without the massive amounts of packets hitting all at once to crash the server.

Government websites get DDoS'ed all the time and can't do anything about it. They have access to things most webhosts don't.

Though, if you would only send the ip in pm to users who are older then 2 weeks and dont have any recent big punishments or who are still banned, I think it should work.
But as i said im not a expert

The problem is that by the time the change would be mutated the IP might have been back to the original one. So the players with slow DNS updates would need to wait twice.

You are welcome to provide on that works to stop a flood that is double the server bandwitch.

Okay something off topic ... About the donations and money ... What about adding more ads to the web sites? I mean I would prefer to have a lower ping and such even if I had to close 10 windows while opening the forums ... IG is the main part of argonath not the forums ...
