Apple iOS 7 unveiled

It's about time iOS received it's visual design overhaul it's had the same look since 2007 over time you get bored of the same look. Even if it seems to take more cues from Miui specifically rather than the other way around.

Now they just need to do something exciting with the hardware.

So had it since the release at WWDC. Personally, way too many bugs right now for it to be my daily driver. Right now restoring back to iOS 6.

Visually wise though it is beautiful. I just wish they would include a dark theme for the black iPhone users.

If a forum user wants it, I can probably give you a free slot in my dev account.

No. Not yet. It's really laggy and slow right now on the 4S.

I DLed it thanks to evad3rs without paying $99, because the OS really isn't worth it. It's good, but all of the features/tweaks can be loaded via cydia on a jailbroken iOS6. It's slow, even on retina display it somewhat looks horrible (let alone the fact that it's a beta)...

The one thing that still hasn't changed that is the leading reason I continue to be an android lover, freedom. iOS 7 still has a closed market, until Apple wakes up and smells the roses.. they'll continue to lose further and further.

I'll be honest, I started off with an iPhone. I loved it, mainly because my parents would pay for whatever I wanted really. Which at the time wasn't much. When I started to have to pay for my own apps, I got disgusted and looked into android. I found, as much of Google is, android was an open source, open market, virtually limitless mobile OS. Digging further and as is true today, a majority of apps found on native, unjailbroken iOS app store that cost money are free, or drastically cheaper on android. Most of these apps have the same features, if not more, than their iOS counterpart. This is mainly because they aren't as restricted in development on an android platform as they are on iOS.

I don't hate the iPhone either before we begin such a stated debate. Its a fucking gorgeous phone and the iOS design is always sexy as hell. I just don't like being Tim Cook's slave. None of the facts above are wrong either, Apple even admits it as does Google. Android was purchased and redeveloped by Google to be an open, beautiful, and developer driven mobile OS, they did that. At its start, Apple was creating the iPhone to be a new step in the right direction for mobile OS and the revamp of smart phones.. they did that.

Apple admits to a closed market which mainly supports the Apple ecosystem of products, and approved partners. Unlike Android which you can make app compatible with any product you wish given it is possibility. While native Google apps are intended to work with the Google ecosystem, it isn't forced, or suggested in anyway for your app development.

Read my whole post before starting an iOS v Android shitstorm, I'm not attacking either one. Both have their advantages, my main is detailed. If you don't want to read it, then don't reply to it. I know that is hard to understand concept for a lot of your keyboard warriors.
