Heritage List...the right to continue or a way to dictatorship?

Hey everyone

After browsing the Argonath Heritage List topic in RS5 section, i noticed how many demands are there: houses and businesses, owned by different players. But there's something which i find really annoying and disturbing, which is that many properties were -and still are- a dream of various players which want these really bad, sooner or later, but some owners still "resist" and don't want to understand the meaning of a word called "change", they just want to keep these properties with force, they refuse all offers to sell and even to think about it. This is something which i compare to dictatorship IRL, a dictator who only wants to keep the chair and is ready to sacrifice his life to stay on it and prevent others -who deserve- to reach it.

Now i'm not talking about specific players or groups, but more generally. Why shouldn't be the reset (if there is one) total and pure? Why shouldn't the chance be given to new and even regular players to buy diffrent properties which they dreamed about not for days, not for months but even for years. Seriously, when i hang out in thre whole SA map, all i see is that a group owns this kind of business in different towns, a clan owns a bunch of houses in different neighbours...etc, while the rest of players own properties which i'm sure, not all of them are 100% happy to own it, but it's the only choice they have.

Some of you may point to me personally: "Why don't you talk about yourself? your house? your business?". Let me clear out something, it's true i love my house which i own since 2008, my business which i own since years, but when it comes to a reset, a full reset, if i loose it to someone else, it's not the end of life, you can't change destiny, infact you have to accept change. Maybe if you loose this house, you'll get a better one. Look at many players: new and regular will be happy when they see this house unowned, this business unowned,  this property which they never thought it'll be available for them to buy.

It is true that some properties are better kept by their owners, such as headquarters (i.e. Mafias HQ...and so on) but this doesn't apply on all kinds.

- I believe in change, in properties which have new owners, in happy players for realising their dream of owning a specific house or business.
- I feel my self very courageous and brave to open such a "sensitive" topic about properties in Argonath RPG.
- I am not being hateful to specific people or looking for my or someone's good.

All comments are welcome, and from everyone, but within rules, no provocations or insults will be tolerated

Greetings.

Because the current owners were also dreaming and didn't get the opportunity laying in front of their feet. I personally had to wait three years to buy an Ammu-Nation, so I don't find it fair for it to get removed from me. Most mafias have spent a lot of time and dedication to build their "empire", taking that away also isn't fair.

And there's always an offer that the other person can't refuse. ;)

Personally, i think that many "current" owners got the opportunity exactly in front of their feet, and i haven't see them speaking about any close auction or something like that. Some "current" owners have this kind of thinking: "Oh god, it's been over a month, i've got to login with anyway, lemme install GTA SA on my grandma's PC, lemme go to my cousin and login there, i should never reach 3 monthes of inactivity, this property is mine and should stay mine, nobody else should own it, either i do or it gets removed." I'm not talking about you, but about some people.

Just easy money, all businesses and houses should be sold, everything should be reset, otherwise nothing will change.

+1 Mikal. Everyone has the right to keep their businesses once they buy them, but when it comes to RS5, when it comes to a reset, people should instead accept that it's a reality.

I totally agree with you. Some players don't play Argo , but login once every month just to keep their properties ... why keep them if they don't use them ?

+1 Quick. If all, or the majority of heritage demands are accepted and applied, there's no point of a reset; or even RS5 if i'm allowed to say so.

I don't see nothing wrong with that. When I was holding Gvardia Ammu-Nation in Las Venturas I wasn't entering that for a month sometimes as well, despite the fact I was probably on everyday that month. If I did enter it any earlier, it was because it needed restocking or because it was the closest Ammu-Nation I could use. Not coming in game for the same amount of time is basically the same.

If we choose a reset because of this reason, then a reset will need to be done every year or two.

Just easy money, all businesses and houses should be sold, everything should be reset, otherwise nothing will change.
Please tell me how resetting everything stops people from DMing, keeps from hacking and encourages people to role-play more.

Nobody uses a business like a fast food restaurant or an Ammu-Nation because it's not really needed. If you do actually use it more, then that's probably because you want more money. If you have a club or something, you're going to be needing to use to make profit; it's all about the type of business. :)

Thing is, it's a  game.

Owners will hopefully choose the correct stuff to keep, and those who simply want to keep their money in RS5 from RS4.1 will not be able to, because there will be no need.

However, I think Ancelotti, Gvardia stuff should be sold, unless they can actually show it's not just 4 people playing as Gvardias / Ancelottis or what not, every so often.

If they're having little to no positive effect on the community in general, why bother?

No point looking in the future, focus on the future, if something was good back then, there's no guarantee it can be better in the future.

CoastGuard HQ should be State though.

Funny you actually state Gvardia. Gvardia is the only mafia who has been more active than inactive from the day it was created 'till today. But then again, other than Ancelotti and Gvardia, other mafias don't have anything to lose.

Why do "top" players have the majority of ammunations and clothes shops in San Andreas, while others have a simple house here, a 24/7 visited once in a year there?

Take a ride and check San Andreas ammunations and clothes shops and gas stations, what do you notice?

Take a ride in San Fierro, Las Venturas, El Corona, East Los Santos, Verona Beach...etc, what do you notice?

Because to get to the top, you got to work your ass off. If you're not, work harder, everyone has that opportunity. :)

I've also had a simple 24/7 and a shitty 100k house; I had to work for an upgrade.

Although, HQ's shouldn't be reset, what would Gvardia be without Queens, Ancelotti without Avispa, Corleone without the "hill-mansion, and Svenssons without the Flint Range Farm.

I mean, atleast the Svensson Farm has been around since -07 so it is "legendary". And I bet the same with Gvardia/Corleone etc.
