That's just... Wrong. Many players here keep their tags, surnames and names for years. Awards and recognition were acquired, no need for that in my opinion.

About the heritage list, I understand that most of the veteran and hard-working members of SAMP want to keep the properties they worked hard for. It's a totally legit feeling to have, and no-one should think otherwise. What I do not understand is the posts from some (not all!) members on the pages before:

- Yes, we all get it that you want the Gvardia HQ, or the Corleone Mansion, or whatever. They did what you all should've done: Worked for it. They were not given, they were not stolen, they were not created just for them, they were acquired by many hours of gaming and teamwork. You want a shot at it? Work for the value and for a reasonable buyout.

- If the same happened to you guys, don't you dare telling that you wouldn't fight for what you worked hard for.


I personally see no harm in either of the solutions. Yes I worked hard for what I have, but meh... Just want to have fun. Of course some groups engage in a certain level of RP that require some assets. You won't see a Mafia Family with a HQ on a trailer in Flint County. Is this an opportunity to see new roleplay possibilities? Yes. But will it decrease the interest of the members that already busted their asses? Yes.

I do not mind a full reset, but I understand if some people do. I already passed one in MTA:VC, got my rage out in that matter. So, meh...

All I'm asking is for groups to not lose their HQ's/Compounds, the rest is indifferent to me.

^ That is what I want too. I don't care of private properties, but I do own Svensson Farm right now. But in RS5 you can make it "state owned" if you want, as long as it representative Svensson Family and if
it belongs to Svensson Family too.

It's history, legendary place for the whole family.

To honour great organisations, clans, groups and families which have contributed a lot to Argonath RPG, have a plaque set up near their previous HQ or site to recognise their past deeds. This could be a game icon or better, an object placed. This could be something to be carried forward into server versions, even if the property is reset. At least the mark of great individuals and groups will not be simply wiped out every few years when scripts are changed.

I think this would be the best way of honouring heritage sites that are not government locations.


Ronnel suggested a grace period for reclaiming properties, which sounds good. If properties were directly handed back to players it might damage the server before things can even get started. Understandably, it will be a new world environment, the economy would be different and the playing style may have to change to best suit the new server.

To honour great organisations, clans, groups and families which have contributed a lot to Argonath RPG, have a plaque set up near their previous HQ or site to recognise their past deeds. This could be a game icon or better, an object placed. This could be something to be carried forward into server versions, even if the property is reset. At least the mark of great individuals and groups will not be simply wiped out every few years when scripts are changed.

I think this would be the best way of honouring heritage sites that are not government locations.

Besides that, everyone would just start working by any means, in order to make a living, buy a car and a property so my view is that it will just get the players more active than the current situation.

While it does not grant any ownership rights or any physical advantages it would certainly recognise sites of great import and would actually designate the heritage sites in the server.

At the same time, it would allow for a full reset and bring everyone back on to the same playing field. And like you mentioned, this should improve activity?
Hopefully to an extent this would meet both wishes - people would get a level of recognition for their contributions in the past, and still be able to reap the full benefits of a new server.

Not against the part of groups having some recognition but then again, the part where everyone would start over by the beginning would be lost by those groups who would already have an HQ, they would only fight for money to fill the HQ with cars, and not buy an actual place
