Have they been reported? To which agency? Did you receive any update of the status of the report?

So....was that ingame or over msn/skype ? In case, grab their IP and block their ip xD
Hahaha, I miss you, you always trolling...

I hope you don't want to sell us.

What's Ronnel Production?

A server on SA:MP? This community is much more than just one server. He is also not the first or last person to attack us...and he is definitely not the first to be caught. ;)

It is. I just thought people would want to know that making stupid attacks on the community just bites you in the butt in the end. Seems many didn't want to agree.

Realistic? Small?

There is a difference between perception and realism. People perceive Argo as not being cared about when it is attacked because often the attackers go unpunished in front of them. The realism is that when a hacker does something to catch the eyes of law enforcement, it does not always initiate an immediate reaction. The FBI's cyber-security division alone receives millions, if not billions, of complaints a year. The biggest ones get immediate attention, but that does not mean the little ones are forgotten about. They don't just close the report and say "screw it". They still have to be investigated, by law. Now that may mean years down the road due to a lack of funding, resources, time, and manpower, but they still look into it nonetheless. When they begin seeing patterns of repeat offenses, they will also take action. As I mentioned before, tsgh_mike is not the first one to be caught attacking us. Several others in the past have been reported and caught in various ways, both directly and indirectly. Our little friend here was just lucky that no one had bothered to look into him sooner. Funny thing too...a few other articles about this also implicate at least two other ex-Argo haters as "hackers" being sought by authorities now...

Realistically, things take time. Perception is what makes it seem like nothing will ever happen.

As for small, we are far from that.

I just came across this.
SugarD, in real life, I volunteer for the local police department. And I can certainly tell you that they really don't waste their time on any cyber crimes, except if the attacks are on known and respectable companies or government officials, so they will most definetly not waste their time on investigating an attack on a gaming server. They will file your complaint and say they're investigating it, but in reality, they wont even bother. Don't be stupid

Some countries are different. I mean, some are a lot more strict on some crimes than others.

This is quite funny.

The "local police department" will clearly not take care of cyber crimes, since it isn't part of their duties. And please don't insult.

I'm not insulting. There are no cyber crime divisions, and if there are any, they won't react to an attack on a gaming server. Do you honestly think they waste their resources on something like that? No. How many cyber crimes on gaming community have ever been reacted to by the police? Give atleast one example. Proves my point.

Please see the quoted section within the text box.

Also, of course a local Police Department will not investigate a cyber crime. It is not within their jurisdiction to do so. They have no legal authority to investigate it. If anything, they will tell you to report it somewhere else. They can't legally take a report on that.

Still wont investigate a gaming community related crime.

If multiple communities would work together for once to report one individual, than they would.

Just for future reference to all who hate our community...crime doesn't pay. You will get caught. Remember that next time you want to attack a place we enjoy. It is only a matter of time...

Police have charged Michael Adams Jr., 22, of Marple, with falsely reporting weapons of mass destruction, false alarms to an agency of public safety, recklessly endangering another person and related offenses for the Sept. 16 incident.

Nothing about DDOSing or hacking. I realise you hate him this much, but this is just plain bullshit that he got caught for DDOSing Argonath.  He got in the can only because he commited serious felonies which went too far.

You know you're wrong if you hide behind your invisible powers you never had in real life. Those who watch me will entirely understand.

Why do I do what I do? Because I know you won't stand someone opposing you. And because you know you can't prove me I'm wrong.

Seriously lol'd at these people who claim they love Argo yet totally dismiss the idea of bringing justice to those who attack it.

Legally speaking, these are not simply "DDoS complaints", but can be grounds for a game developer (who works with real scripts, hardware, and scripters) to sue based on damages caused to a server network that costs thousands of dollars a year to maintain. Maybe those of you who do not understand the trouble that damages and loss of data may cause should try getting into programming or network maintenance. Unless you have, it's all too easy to sit on your ass and bitch whenever the server is down or the network is slow.

Not that I think FBI will give immediate priority to a case of our magnitude either, but the hypocrisy behind some of your "I love Argonath, BUT-" is disgusting.

The most important part is interacting with others and meeting people from around the world.
