The cure for cancer... is HIV? Can it be so simple?

This cure is only theoretic if you're aiming at other cancers. I dont think we're anywhere near that. We may be able to cure only leukemia with this. Which again may take a long time.

If you've studied biology you understand what Im tryna say. You just cant modify the HIV cell to go and target cancer cells in general. The situation is different with leukemia as HIV only attacks white blood cells.

The cure is not theoretical for other cancers, the cure has been tested on more than just Leukemia. The girl they've been speaking about was the most notable due to her severe past. The HIV isn't being used to attack the white blood cells. The HIV is being used to carry newly trained genetics which tells the immune system to attack specific cancer cells. HIV is only a "piggyback", a carrier of the code to the white blood cells. It isn't being used to attack the white blood cells.

Basically, let me make it really simple for you.

1. Genetic Code is genetically programmed to teach immune response that specif type of cancer cell is foreign, and to attack and kill it.
2. This Genetic code is fused with the HIV virus
3. The HIV virus infects existing T-Cells (immune)
4. Infected T-Cells get the HIV virus, as well as the new Genetic code
5. The t-cells are placed back into the blood
6. Immune response registers the Genetic code
7. Immune response duplicates t-cells
8. Immune response attacks cancer cells NOT WHITE BLOOD CELLS.

In theory, immune system can attack any cell it sees as foreign. This is how vaccines work. They get a dead form of the virus to teach the immune system how to defeat the virus. They are using HIV, which is notable for attacking white blood cells in a normal setting.. to embed the information on how to recognize and destroy cancer cells.

This is interesting and I want to look up into it. The way you just described isnt how immunity works. It requires the surface antigens for a primary immune response which for most cancers are exactly the same as a normal cell. Thats why we dont have any 'vaccines' for cancer.

T cells are two types. Killer and helper. They're probably only involving killer. They have surface receptors made for various antigens.
What that means is, they have tiny prongs on their surface which attach to foreign cells.
Now every type of cell has different surface antigens. Theyre like recognition marks for that cell. So the Killer T Cell are of many types all have the prongs of the complementary shape to that of the surface antigens of the foriegn body.
When such a T cell attaches its prong to the surface antigen of the foriegn body and kills it.

With me? Now, when T cells are produced, some even have surface receptors complementary to the surface antigens of our normal human cells. That means they will start killing human cells too. These cells are destroyed somewhere in early childhood.

Now it does sort of make sense that they're making the T cells which would have the genetic code to have surface receptors complementary to that of a cancer cell. They multiply and kill the cancer.

Here's the entire problem.
1) Get the surface antigens of a cancer cell.
2) Get a antibody complimentary to it.
3) Make its genetic code which could be used by T cells.

Right?

Most, and Ive said this many times, most cancer cells have exactly the same surface antigens as that of a normal human cell. The only difference is that a cancer cell keeps on going through mitosis. Now some cancers do show different receptors, and that may be worked on too.  But thats the whole trouble we've had with cancer since the beginning.  I mean, why couldn't we just cure it? Because its exactly the same as human cells!! We cant create vaccines or anything because those vaccines will start killing our own cells too.

The videos I posted explain it. That is how the immune response works, that is how vaccines work. By introducing the "virus" into the blood stream so the T-cells learn how to detect and destroy the invading cells. In this case, they aren't introducing cancer rather skipping the process and just having cells designed to detect and destroy cancer cells. The CNN video I posted, Sanjay Gupta explained it in a nutshell.

There is no article that I've found so far, just a few videos from legitimate sources. The university has probably published something more solid regarding it. You'd have to find that.

They have created a special type of killer t-cells, they call them 'serial killer cells'. They are able to recognize cancer cells, I don't know how, I'm not a fucking doctor, geneticist or biologist.. they just do. It isn't the "entire" problem as they've figured it out, since... they actually know what they are doing...

I do know there is more than one way the immune response is activated, it doesn't always need to be on virus detection. What do you think allergies are? The immune response handles the certain exposure to what every the allergen may be and responds to it as a threat.
