Anybody figured a working fix for this DNS problem thingie? Attempted several methos mentioned before, none of them seem to be working.

Indeed so, heard that Ben_Hells was going to take a look at it but i have no idea when and how soon it will be fixed

I heard that CBF said that due to the long online time of the server(several days online without a restart).
It may be a bit buggy since it has suffered some DDoS attacks and so on.

What's really interesting is that this 'bug' only affects some people, while others can join the server. I wonder why's that.

It is indeed so.. Well a bit back in this thread you can read that for some people their DNS doesn't update with the server or something?
but why it happends to only a small part of the server i have no idea..

Only had to break my internet connection and spend two hours wondering what the fuck I did.
Fair to say after I fixed it, I could access the server.

I ended up somehow removing my router and I could no longer connect through it, had to download the setup files for it again and re-config everything lol.

Well the server is working fine for me and more alot of people.. as far as I know new server with new host will be up tomorrow or in 2 days so just wait for that.
