of the United States of Argonath

The Provision Parliament of United States of Argonath is the reformed version and a successor of the Argonath Democracy Movement. It is a forum of the citizens of Argonath and the representatives of different branches of the society, who support the idea of turning Argonath into a democratical dictatorship state with political movements, parties, and a parliament who is chosen by the people of Argonath. The vision of a political system in Argonath is not a dream. It's achievable, as stated by the current President Gandalf. We might be able to turn this suggestion into a reality if we come up with the system that works and if we come up with how everything would work under the democratical system. At the moment, we think that the most suitable political system would be Democratic Dictatorship/Parliamentary Monarchy, which means that President Gandalf and Prime Minister Aragorn would still maintain their statuses as the leaders of the state, however, they would be accompanied by the Parliament of Argonath, which would be elected by the people of the states of San Andreas, Liberty City, Vice City.

In respect to various proposals of forming a government, we have always been open to a democratic system. However before initiating the formation of such a system we have also every time requested to give a full scale proposal of the actual functioning, powers and responsibilities of the various bodies to be formed.

As for any democratic system that goes beyond the in-game influence we are open as soon as every active player will contribute real life taxes so that, like every other government, we can draw money instead of inserting.

I await your proposal.

Aim of this provisional parliament is to come up with the system and propose it to the heads of the states. This parliament will start discussing the forms of Democracy that could be used and how to enforce it. At the same time it will start various campaigns to solve the problems that are currently troubling Argonath.

*The Head of the Parlament status in no way means, that the holder of it has the authority over the parliament. The person holding this status simply sums up everything that is being discussed in the parliament and provides it to the general public and for the heads of the state to see. He can be taken as the representative of the parliament.

To join the movement, simply fulfill this short form below. Every potential member will be reviewed by the current parliament members first. You will be contacted back if needed. All the people who have applied on the previous topic of the ADM, please let me know in the PM and i'll send your applications for the parliament to consider.

Few rules the members of the parliament have to follow. These rules can be a subject to change if parliament members are not satisfied by them:

*Criminal organisation representatives are allowed to join at the stage of the provisional parliament, because every single player of Argonath has the right to have their say and help to prepare the possible government system that they will have to follow. However, they will no longer be able to get into the parliament if their criminal activities wont cease when/if the Parliament will be passed as a lawful head of the state.
*The members of the Parliament shall respect the constitution and the rules of Argonath RPG
*The members of the Parliament shall have access to Argonath RPG TeamSpeak and SA:MP RPG servers (All the in game meetings will be held in SAMP for now..)

   Your opinion about current Argonath Political system?:   I believe that the current system, is flad does not seek to better the state of Argonath, as it stand it seems that the current system has very little chanage and like to keep the status quo. I feel that in the 3 years of being a citizen of Argonath that this very linear state of very slow progression is only detrimental to the future of Argonath as a state.

I feel that there may not be a way to change the overall leadership but I feel that a Congress/Parliament would be a great way for the people of Argonath to express there views as the most political things I see from the people here are complaints about law enforcement and about the Argonath Road Administration.

Your opinion about current Argonath Political system?: The current political system in Argonath is very undemocratic and performs a one-way-leadership which I find negative. I believe a grassroot movement is needed in order to imply semi-democracy within the state. The political system is aswell as undemocratic, very unstable in form of amount of citizens and immigrantion from other states.

I wanted to create this topic in Argonath RPG Groups and Families, but I accidently made it here.. Representatives from any Argonath RPG server can apply, however, they must have TS and SA:MP (For IG roleplays and meetings). Once the system has been made, the parliament will become in affect in all states of Argonath.

A form of government where elected candidates seldom if ever work proactively to represent the concerns of the constituency? This sounds suspiciously like covert Totalitarianism. Could you please explain what procedures would come into effect in the event that an elected candidate was found to be actively working against the interests of the citizens of the state in which he/she held an office.

Furthermore can you please give details as to how the parliament would establish a candidate's involvement in a criminal organisation if the group funding their campaign where to deny such an allegation.

Speaker, there just isn't a need do you feel it wise to waste time and effort on something which is done every other five minutes?

Debates, solutions, (the discussion of) laws and what not are carried out often on a scale which where in there is much more clarity and better provision for discussions, and votes. Le Forum. Et voila. Ce vu plait en Anglais?

Mr Speaker, the aim of this parliament is on the verge of senseless. What sort of parliament actively attempts to campaign? that is not the purpose of a Parliament.

Mr Speaker, me thinks you should stand down  and an actual elected Speaker should stand.

We feel that turning Argonath into full democracy is too early without trying a lesser system first. It means that Gandalf and Aragorn still will be the head of the states, however, the parliament will be elected and will second the heads of the state.
