"Like" button

Can we get a 'like' button on the forum or something?

Or something similar. Like +1, thumbs up, whatever. Feel like it'd help get rid of useless "+1" posts.

On various forums I'm a member of it's a great success.

Seriously, I like the the heck out of this thing. I am generous with "Likes" and I think it is awesome I don't have to quote the previous poster and do a "+1", plus the poster now actually gets to see that their post reached somebody... And it doesn't clutter up the thread, its neat!

There's a lot of stuff to like (wah wah wah) about the new forum software, but I have to say Likes are one of my most used.

Anyway, don't mean to wear out the record, but Rudy - super job, seriously. This whole new deal is really really cool. Thanks a lot for doing this. As one IT guy to another, the fact that you got this whole thing migrated with so little downtime... very impressive. Nice job.

I wouldn't support a dislike button as that may cause bad feelings in forum users and can possibly be abused to target people. However a like button would be a nice addition.

Yeah, a dislike button isn't what we're proposing, and isn't something that should be implemented.
