Rest in peace. Very sad. I can imagine the scenario.. So disturbing. I hope the kid learns from this mistake and become a good part of the society in future.

Lol that has nothing to do with it. It's about your mind knowing it's a game and not the real thing. Obviously 8 year old boys are still in their learning period and learn from their envoirement wich in this case was GTA4.

GTA IV is 18+... Blame whoever got this child the game.

Several things in this story that are extremely questionable.
First of all the town name 'Slaughter'.
Next if you read the report carefully there is no mention of the boy playing GTA IV by the sherrif. The report mentions 'playing a violent computer game that was M rated'.  The writer of the article is the one who puts forward the name of GTA IV.
With GTA:V on the verge of being released, it is clear the writer wants to start either an awareness or banning campaign. This leaves very large question marks on the validity of the article.

Do not roleplay a veteran on discord, be a veteran in game.

You don't just blame Rockstar, a gun should be hidden in a safe, not in your fridge.

Plus, GTA IV is more blurring and the gun mechanics are horrible, you can barely notice yourself shooting a Colt45.
