CS 1.6 is dead
CS:S is dying
The future is CS:GO.

Not realy,1.6 is way better then CS:GO. CS1.6 is way more played and more popular then CS GO.CS GO is a failure,a real disapointment to most of CS fans like me.
CS S was way better then CS GO,but 1.6 is a legend.

Oh,btw 1.6 is just a version of the game Counter Strike.
Counter Strike is cs 1.5,1.6,1.7,1.8 ,they're just updates of the game.

That is not true.
CS 1.6 is dying, yes...but CS:Source is still the most popular. CS:GO is the newest, so it has all the hype and updates, but many veteran players are disgusted by it, as it is a rip-off of Call Of Duty in many ways within it's design.

Either way, we already have CS servers in Paruni. The only problem is that no one has been maintaining them for quite some time. Gandalf already hosts them, so if they were fixed, it would probably be a better idea to focus on other popular games if you are looking to expand Paruni. There isn't really a point in buying servers for something we already host on the Server Owners' dime. :P

I have no experience within CS 1.6 nor do I wish to get so.

Gregersen: A guy who, as he says, decided to stay in Argonath because of the hand I gave to him in the beggining. I feel responsible for him and I am very proud watching how huge progress he's achieved. Proud like for my son :)

I 110% agree with ePs over there. Doesn't matter if I'm a long-term 1.6 player - CSGO is still a failure. A lot I love about 1.6 is what the movement offers and its fascinating recoil. CS:S was the begging of an end to the actual Counter-Strike legacy.

P.S
I have over 1780 hours of Counter-Strike of playtime on Steam.

Played CS:GO, the new weapons update ruined the balance, it's more like Team Fortress 2 but with with no story line.

I love to see "CS:GO is a failure" with no argument of why. CS:GO actually requires more skill since hitboxes are smaller than 1.6. CS:GO is still being developped and is only 1 year old. They are tweaking the games every week except major update that requires more time. CS:GO Pro's like NiP are helping the Dev Team to improve the game constantly.
And when I hear it's a CoD Rip-Off.. haha.

How does it ruins the balance? It's just skins...

This.
Steam community market ruined the TF2 Economy, and it will do the same with CS:GO.

So what? No one force you to buy stuff. It's pure cosmetic and doesn't give you any advantage.

Dude... Have you ever played 1.6? CSGO doesn't require more skill at all. My argument was that cs was loved by gamers because of the movement and recoil it delivered, which in CSS developers started to get rid of. CSGO is not the counter-strike we want to get back. In CSGO you can't dodge an awp bullet with bunnyhopping, you can't fake a peak with CTRL as professional as you could've done in 1.6 and you can't do a 2nd no-zoom shot because in CSGO it zooms back up instantly and because of that it doesn't look that awesome.

I probably played CS before you were able to walk. I started playing CS since 2001 and I played it for 7-8 years. I stopped because every of my friends stopped and I started back with CS:GO. The recoil on CS 1.6 is inexistant compared to CS:GO.. so it's actually way easier to play 1.6. Not to mention that the movement are WAY slower which make it more easier to kill people as you don't need as fast reflex as CS:GO.

I really don't see why people are arguing about the Counter-Strike games when Paruni has had servers for them for years now. :P

as a Counter-Strike (1.6) veteran, I like CS:GO.
Although recently my mouse started striking and is funky in GO. I think I should invest in a mouse pad or something.

Harris, GO is not as bad as you might think it is. Play it for some time and you'll eventually start to like it, I'm sure.

as for the Paruni server, I'd like to see a GO one.

You are incorrect, SugarD - the servers has been cancelled due to troubles in scripting that could not be solved.
Both CS:S and CS:GO..
