Argonath smart phones application

Alright, the idea is something like this :

You will create an smart phone application (Android and IOS mainly) then we can login into it, and it's something like panel but in a very better interface, you can add some more things like : /invent and /whenmade (for online players)

Im not sure that its possible or no, but chatting with online users (who are online via that app) is awesome too.
and also please sync this forum with Tapatalk2, I think there is so many users who uses this app to browse forums...

That might be true but you would learn more by paying attention in school, if you focus on just Argonath you may learn English but that alone won't get you far in life... trust me. ;)

$20 dollars one time fee for Google Play Dev, which I already have. =))

Hehe... I'm not saying that. I'm saying when you are in school, Argonath shouldn't be one of your concerns at the time. Your education should be your concern while in school. Once your out of school for the day, then by all means come on Argonath and release some of that stress school brings! =)


An iframe app has been developed in the past, I don't know how the usage graph looked but I can't imagine it was spiking. There are a few things a developer should consider before putting the loads of effort, time into developing such an application.

What is the projected user-base for this application? Is it worth developing something only 5 people are going to use, maybe 10 other scattered users?

What is the purpose of the application? The app must serve some legitimate purpose in providing a benefit to the users.

What is the possibility of such an application, and what would the server developers need to modify or create to enable this? /whenmade is not a native function we can remotely call in most servers. Thus, an API would need to be developed which could enable the app to interact with the server. This can pose a security risk if not developed correctly.

What is the risk of developing this application? There are more than possible security exploits, there is legal risks if the app causes damage and a proper, legal TOS isn't drafted.

What is the timeframe, development assessment, and planning phases going to look like? Apps like this aren't developed overnight, and take careful assessment prior to development, during development (alpha testing), and pre-release (commonly beta). Even before this you have a complex planning phase which lays out the plan for development, release, and code structure.

The last 3 of these are for the developer that selects to take this project up, the first ones are things that need to be answered in advanced.

Dont worry about that account, I've some account with developers right.
And its needed because when you are out of town or somewhere which you cant use your pc much ( ex: you are in your (not best) friend's house and you cant use his computer for hours )
And you can use the panel website details, its not something more than the public panel but the /invent thing and chatrooms.

At the moment with what you are saying, I don't see the point. You can just wait until you get back home and check that stuff there's no reason to look at your panel profile when you are out.

So whats the reason of opening panel for public too ?
You can go in game and count how many players are online from each country,
Its not useful for 40% of the argonath players, but i think the rest will use it,
For example you are busy with something and u cant go in game, and you have to tell someone something but you dont want to give him your skype or something else, so you will use this app and send him a message ( but he should be a user of that app too, i think its impossible/hard to sync it with in game stuff , so he cant receive yor pm in game)

Using the panel it is more than possible to do panel to in-game messaging, however it is not something we are going to consider. It is simply not needed and would generate lag on a serious degree unless placed on a more powerful system.

What jacob is saying is why would you need this information if you aren't doing Argonath related stuff anyways. The panel is most helpful to admins, both as an in-game assistance tool and other reasons for managers. IT is also a tool for groups to check member activity, why would you do that at your friends house? I mean... at my friends house we do crazy shit, drink, make crazy meals... even though he also plays Argonath I wouldn't sit there on my phone doing that stuff by myself... it defeats the whole purpose of a social life :P
