I get your point very well and i feel your Sadness but it could solve it temporary untill the owners Will fix it.

+ as it doesn't have a huge player base a host wont even cost that much(dont get me wrong here in terms of the playerbase)

Hosting Argonath server outside of Argonath without permission is illegal as far as I know.

And since we didn't receive a permission to host a server for the duration of the fixing and was told that the server is up, we decided to forget the idea of hosting one of our own. Few hours of server being up, we realised a fatal script failure due to outdated scripts and thus the server is yet again unplayable.

Developers of VCMP have no possibility of fixing the scripts due to lack of access to upload the newest version of script, which was already tested as stable.

Fd ain't that big, ideas are being thought of to make it bigger and better.

They have already, but owners havn't replied to messages.

Fd ain't that big, ideas are being thought of to make it bigger and better.

There was an script atleast tested in some point where fire department could react to a car in flames. Don't know for sure what happened with it tho' or if it'll be scripted again.

As for fire department roleplay, it's kind of dodgy in VCMP since the playerbase is rather small (10-20 requlars on a good day) so creating a FD roleplay situation is harder than expected/imagined due to lack of players for "roles" :P

Is he ignoring you there or what is the deal?

I've sent him message through MSN, Skype and forum PM, but it'd be more likely to see a T-Rex walking in my backyard than receive an answer

What would be the use? We need sensitive information that can only be given to the developers of Argonath's VCMP server. We have not been given that information even after numerous questions / outright begging and thus this topic was created.

You're allowed to host a temporary server till the main one is back up online or until Gandalf himself says you cannot anymore. I am sure there's a valid reason for all of this trouble.
