1. All ICT Homeworks must be made in Microsoft word and a full license must be purchased (So no using Open Office and saving in .doc they will find out )
Illegal in most countries due to unfair competition rules/laws.

2. Linux is Banned all together! using linux at home and using it to complete IT homeworks gets you a F (Nazi like rules)
Cannot force you to use a certain OS nor can they detect if you use Linux at home.

3. No Ipods even without cameras. This is just plain retarded nuff said,
iPods in breaks and before/after school sounds reasonable to me.

4. No Outside Foods or Drinks (No Dr Pepper? Aww)
You cannot buy your own food and drinks and eat them at school?

5. No Thumb Drives containing .exe or .bat files (So i cant even fully convert my files to .doc f**k you)
What are they afraid of? Some 12 year old trying to install a RAT on his teachers PC? Exe files will not even launch automatically since Vista, lol.

Only reason they give you an F is because it isnt made in supported software because they cant risk opening it and i know its stupid but the teachers told me straight that they have no problem with it its just the IT technicians playing it safe
If they support Microsoft Office that means you don't have to.

Pirate dat shit son.
(Unless you're Linux)

Live free or die.

"Security" risk due to macros

My Thumb drive is formatted in Ext4 (Linux) so its fairly easy to find out

3. No Ipods even without cameras. This is just plain retarded nuff said,
iPods in breaks and before/after school sounds reasonable to me.
No Electronic devices from home allowed on school grounds

4. No Outside Foods or Drinks (No Dr Pepper? Aww)

Nope so i often buy about 5 35p energy drinks and sell em for 50p to my mates

5. No Thumb Drives containing .exe or .bat files (So i cant even fully convert my files to .doc f**k you)

Not launching EXE's is kinda Ok because a lot of 16 year olds (Year 10) try to bypass security

If they support Microsoft Office that means you don't have to.

Like i said i use Ubuntu Linux

Here are 3 more:
1: No BRANDED footware
2: P.E Kit MUST include Football Socks for non-football related games (One i dont obey)
3: If you use Red Ink you get upto 2 hours in detention

I lol at the fact that someone instantly assumed America lol

Regardless the first set of rules are obviously because someone hired an IT crew who forgot the T part. The main problem I have with schools is there inadequate computer security over here I noticed my school is using a non licensed version of Windows I find it funny but whatever the reality is if schools aren't ready to take the necessary actions to properly protect there own infrastructures and instead build rules in an attempt to secure it they have no thought in mind to the students well being. For the record in America if a school would pull something like that they would probably get hacked by a student in the school or a massive amount of pressure would be put on the school board for reform.

Last year something nicknamed Ucidion was developed to exploit a bug in the schools network it was administrated via flash drive and the school found who did it but instead of banning flash drives and expelling the student they put up the necessary system to prevent that local DoS that crippled WiFi for two months and enlisted the student to find more preventable flaws in the schools own security, they even went as far to make a class to teach the computer discipline behind networks like that any school who uses rules to stop something like that does not deserve to be teaching anyone.

That school is utterly RETARDED but the student would have most likley passed it onto another student if
expelled or suspended and yeah your right about my first set of rules you should read the seccond one (Football = Soccer if people reading this are like WTF)

He was suspended for 7 days I didn't mention that but the school understood that if they were to expel it would fix nothing and leave many vulnerabilities, and don't you guys have school boards or someone to complain to about this nonsense?

They aren't run by the government by your school governing body or headteacher who must follow the rules of the government. But even still the government is not this restrictive in its legislation...

Not trying to be offensive but i cant quite understand that is this what you are trying to say
Because some shit that happened in my life my grandfather made me angry because of my school and my mother is living in Bulgaria so i took the first bus and got to where the security checks your passports and i was successful and afterwards i took a strong beating of my grandfather for leaving the country?
