Developers Answer





In this topic is space for questions about IV:MP and the development of actual scripts and server operations. Any developer will ask you as soon as possible. Please understand that we are not always around forums and working hard on server and scripts, therefore it can take up to 24h to get a answer. Please also note that we do not share infomation about fellow user or administrators.

As soon as possible so far I cannot tell you how much it even takes to make the scripts
as we don't even know correctly how big they will be :P
Sure is there is much work to be done. Which we will start to done step by step :)

Admin applications will be opened 3-5 months after the BETA scripts of server released
This way we will reduce the problems of recruiting members to admin team which will
have not enough experiance with IV:MP. Who the first admin will be is still unknown, but
I do espect that some SA:MP admins will swap their rights to help. :)

Well alright :) I will try to learn LUA scripts but i think i wont learn them :D i sucks at scripting, also one more question : will be there like setting houses i mean like SAMP?


And i downloaded IV:MP :D waiting for argo server  :banana:

House setting will be not available for first time due to too less script support in this way.
In future IV:MP will possibly get more features that will allow pickups. A Map editor will possibly
also be created as onject settings are already possible. But that may take a long time till
that will happen as the multiplayer firstly needs to be done in it's most important parts.

We are going to start with a Minimum, As not much players are visiting at the first couple of weeks, and we wont want to be overpaying.

As Tras3r is mainly involved in planning and ordering, I will tell why 32 players.
Limits of current IV:MP version are 50 players, they will be lowered to 32 players
on ALPHA3 version. I don't know why it will change, I only know that limits will be lowered :)

Recruited is =AV=Spartan. We are currently in planning progress.
Traser is not in charge of scripts, he can't script.

A new active server, which is supposed to bring new community members and veterans to Argonath.
Simply we just want to continue adding servers releated to Grand Theft Auto. We don't want to stop
at SA:MP... as we know their will come more versions :)

-Make a topic that will show us what is commands are finished
Will be made once the script progress started. Then you can also see the progress and
all informations you need about scripts and server. Also you will be able to join the Argonath
test server... :)

This is awesome! I'm glad it's coming, although, too bad my computer is having trouble handling GTA:SA so... I doubt it will run smoothly on GTA:IV...

I wonder how i should be able to join the server.. I'v installed the client, i can see random servers when i click on refresh.. I cannot join to any of those servers and i cannot join the Argonath RPG Test server either when i try to connect "Quick".

How i do to get this working?

You have the good patch? 1.0.4 if I am right. Otherwise you cannot join :(. Try to re-install it, and patch it until 1.0.4.

You need the normal version if I am right. But you still can episodes of Liberty City. May it will work.

I think you can use the Illegal version of the normal GTA, But The other 2 games are not Supported true IV:MP.

You can :). But you need config it good, otherwise the security systems of GTA IV will be activated.

Hello,
 I've installed GTA IV and IV:MP.
Here's my problem, I have typed the server IP address in that is in the IV:MP server list.
I click on it, and it just shows a little loading thing with my mouse.
So I looked around on the internet to see if you had to patch it like with SA:MP, and I came across a 1.0.0.4 patch 5. So I installed it, and ASI loader, says I need to put them in this 'dir' folder.
Where can I find it in C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\Grand Theft Auto IV??
I've looked in every folder, I just don't know how to work GTA IV:MP. Something I've wanted to do since January when I first got IV:MP. Has anyone got a full guide from installation to installing this patch to make servers load?

Perhaps they mean dir. as in directory. ASI loaders are supposed to be installed in the game installation folder. (such as the Rockstar Games\Grand Theft Auto IV).

Is the patch an .exe (executable) file or just bunch of different files?
If first, install it. If second, then yes just drag them into the IV folder.

No. You should only use a legal copy of the game. We do not support piracy.

Ok about the GTA IV patches, I've got ASI files, they are binkhooked.dll and binkw32.dll.
Now I'm trying to find the 1.0.0.4 patch, I downloaded something and the file is called FileCheckFix.asi.
Then I closed everything clicked on IV:MP, I clicked on a random server to test it and it comes up with "Unknown game version detected. IV:MP only supports version 1.0.0.4".
The FileCheckFix.asl thing I downloaded was called 1.0.0.4, was this the wrong thing??
I'm so confused by this. SA:MP was simple to downlaod with the patch.....  :roll:
Please help.

No. You should only use a legal copy of the game. We do not support piracy.
As I have read, IV:MP is suppose to not work with Cracked versions anyways.

Soon as IV:MP gets into a stable phase, I think we will work on adding ideas and new implementations. its to early to discuss any minor scripts right now.

NOoSE only get 2 additional weapons once we fixed the duty bug. They have to choose it
all other additional weapons needs to be bought.

Well, I'm assuming we'll get armour when we duty, otherwise we'd have to run to a ammunation whenever something happens, which takes a LOT of time.

Yes, but only NOOSE would get equipped and/or get special script support, but through time.

Tovenaarke: No, I tried doing /help or /commands, but no existing commands.
Thomas: its for the best. I know people need to try out the force, but they could simply apply and if they don't want to be LCPD, move on, no damage done.

There were NPCs in Alpha. I haven't seen any, yet in beta. Maybe they are working to remove them?

What about the NPS's at the bridges where there are barriers? They gone too?
Will the barriers still work automaticly? On and no more grenade pickup?  :(

I've seen a weapon pickup non the spawn. 9mm pistol.
It just appeared as a pickup once, though.

UpdateTitle has to have a blue icon and has to be an executable. The other one (TitleUpdate) is a windows installer file.
They are both operable using double click. If not able to enter none, use a tool called "Universal extractor".

Nothing at all. That is to be kept wrapped in a ".rar" file. Just proceed with installing from either microsoft installer package or the executable.

Done that, now it says I need to activate GTA IV when I click on the IV:MP Icon, theres a problem there though. I've lost the manual with my code on.  :roll:

I have yet another problem, I went on IVMP perfectly fine on Friday night, now sunday night when I tried connecting it does the usual login thing but after like 5seconds it loses connection then says restarting blablabla and hangs there, it doesnt actually reconnect.

If you set everything on low and a resolution of 1024x768 + it will run fine.
if you are ambitious and want a more greater graphics, it will be "not so bad"  ;)

Depends from the rest of your system.
There are tweaks around the internet that can speed up your GTa but watch out, not every one of them is virus free/scamming.

It is a bug that occurs sometimes while playing.
You can hear noises like, cracking, whistling, laughter, etc ...

I believe you still cannot fix it.

The website show an objective look on your configuration. It does not mean you must buy a new GPU to play.
They just recommend it.However, I played the game on a Pentium 4 and a 256 ATi 1950(medium)

Don't worry.It might be a round two figure number of FPS but not the best.

You guys need to realise that even if you have "good" computer on specification test,it dont mean that game will be smoothly and excellent. Game is seriously unoptimized so even if you have Quad Core and good graphics card,ull still have chopping on some parts on map. With 2GB Ram you can play it but most performances (FPS) will depend from Processor and Graphics. If u cannot afford new graphics card or processor and u want to play decently,i advise to check some Tutorials for Overclocking because its very usefull and not so hard to learn (ofcourse you need to be very carefull in every step)

Yeah cars are losing a little bit too fast fuel at the moment. And the fuel price should be reviewed also.

I think you can use the Illegal version of the normal GTA, But The other 2 games are not Supported true IV:MP.
The easiest way of explaining that is that the illegal version works, but won't be supported. EFLC is not supported, and may not work.

I suggest you do not use it, as it includes some ".ini" extensions that mess with the game directory and includes spawns, native trainer et cetera...

Yes, if you're going to use that, install GTA IV to another directory specifically dedicated to that mod. On the install that has that mod, do NOT save the game, ever. It can corrupt your gamesaves, causing them to never work again. I accidentally made this mistake after completing GTA IV completely, and now I've lost everything.

Depends on the solutions we will find. If you see the Idea topic we are already thinking about balancing the death/jail rate. As actually still most suspects just get killed.

Doubt it since that would go against the Argonath vision, but again like Tai said, we'll have to wait and see if someone comes up with a good solution to prevent the abuse caused by them.

Hey Martin,

Once you enter the client application (LaunchIVMP.exe), you will be prompted to a small menu with several options. Those are:

-Browse servers
-Quick Connect
-Options
-Quit

Click on the "Browse servers" and you'll find our server. Name: Argonath RPG.
However, you can use the "Quick Connect" option. Just copy the server IP before you enter the client application. Then click "Quick Connect". You'll be prompted at two small tabs. Click on the first one and press CTRL+V. You'll see it pasted our IP. After that, click "Connect"

Don't forget to go to "Settings" to change your name!  ;)

I introduced my IRL friend into Argonath and he installed IV and SA, he played IV:MP, so I saw it for the first time too, and I noticed that there are almost NO cars, and every car there is, has smoke coming form the hood and won't start. Is blowing up cars disabled? Because if so, the only way to fix a cop car, is by admin command, cus you can't blow it up and you can't respray it..

Unless there is a job introduced where players can work as mechanic and bring dead cars for alive for the short time required to drive to a PnS. :razz:

Yesterday everything works fine,then I uninstall GTA IV (I needed hard disc space at that moment urgent) and after that when i tried to instal it again this constantly show to me. Just to mention,this happens only after I install patch, SP works well,but when i Install patch then this error shows and after that even SP doesne't want to work anymore :/ I tried multiple times to uninstall and instal after that but same.. I even put new windows7 and same happens :( I even tried every single solution i found on google and nothing helps  :cry:

How you are going to make interiors , every house is made as part of world map unlike on other games(example:samp) , interiors  on SA are specialy made so thats reason why u see black screen for a second in a singleplayer they're not part of world map so its easier to make interiors but here ...how are u going to do it if you get map editor? Making custom interiors or geting world map source to cut out areas that will be used as interiors?But still alot of interiors will have windows etc...

I haven't checked models of building, etc. but if the interior is separate model file from the building where it is its location, I think there is small possibility with proper tools and scripts to use them in IV:MP.

A MAP EDITOR IS POSSIBLE. To make a similar Map Editor like MTA is possible. It just needs shitloads of Object hashes to be added to a table, and might a proper GUI interface. I doub it will be fastly done in a proper way, but doing it with some decent script is possible, yes. Also IV:MP does allow setPlayerInterior and maybe soon the better version setPlayerVirtualWorld. Therefore private Interiors releated to a property would become possible, as long someone finds time to script that tool. I doub we have time during the soon starting RS2 development.

So it is just a question of time when it will be possible or more, when it is ready. But today we won't have time for it.

For RS2 you could simply do the old route SA:MP used and have a player enter a marker that teleports them to some place off the map which is an "interior". Just simply build it off the map somewhere and when a user enters it, they are teleported there. When they exit, they are teleported back. Simple as that.

I have 2GB ram and it barely rolls... So I highly doubt your computer will work.

1GB is fine. Like I said, RAM isn't the only thing you need. If you have the world's greatest CPU and video card, you could do fine with 1GB and still run it on Very High ;)

You are not understanding what I am trying to say here,
You mentioned 1Gb of Ram is enough to run the game, and I am saying 1Gb can be enough depending on its frequency.

For example 1Gb of DDR-400 ram would never be enough.
Whereas 1Gb of DDR3-1600 or DDR4 (http://www.pcworld.com/article/215476/samsung_develops_worlds_first_ddr4_ram.html) Ram would work perfectly.

Actually there is no such a huge performace boost so it should be mentioned. Higher memory clocks can affect in only few percent on overall performance. You CAN run it on 1GB but textures gonna load too damn slow even if you have greatest graphics + processor. Try playing any other newer game with such low ammount of RAM ~ its impossible. And if you include that your startup programs will take at least 500MB you can count how much you will left :)

Last I checked, the server listing wasn't showing it and you had to enter the IP and port into the Quick Connect section.

Hi, welcome to the Forums.
No, Argonath RPG is a role playing servers, not a Cops vs Robbers server. Yes, we have factions around the server.
You can either join or create a faction at the "Clans, Groups, Teams" board. Note that IV:MP families have a tag [IV:MP] in the topic title.
Also, you might not find many families, but you are free to create one and start your empire in our city.

There are no written tutorials regarding that. You can ask any member In game. I'm sure they'll help you out.
You can simply use /commands, as well. It will show you the list of work, vehicles, drugs, weapon related commands and et cetera.

The vehicle dealers will never be for sale because that would become really unfair for those who already have a car and for those who still have to buy one (the new ones will have to pay more!). I believe it is planned to make houses and businesses for sale but as IV:MP doesn't have a map editor yet, it's rather hard to make interiors. Don't expect this to happen for a fair amount of time.

I can tell you: yes, it is hard. IV:MP uses Squirrel, which is, as I've been told, easier than PAWNO but it's still quite rough to my experience.
I have no idea how many lines the current script is but I really doubt you will be told; no offence.

* Wich is the mainly goal on the script right now?
I believe it is now to remove all the bugs in the current RockStars script so that they start on a "clean" script to develop the next RockStars script.

Well that's what I don't understand...some things have been updated since those posts, or even removed, and no one said anything. At minimum at announcement of the basic, accessible changes would've been nice so we know there's still progress going on, as well as informing us on what to expect when we join the server to have fun. ;)

The CarHP bug is an issue with IV:MP itself, not the scripts. As for the bug, the IV:MP team is looking to possibly fix it in the next release, if not the one after. They are currently open-sourcing IV:MP, so it's taking them some time to finish that up. After that release is out, they plan another major release of mostly bugfixes, which if this bug doesn't make the upcoming release, it will more than likely make that one.

P.S. The upcoming update syncs punching! ;)

then you can turn off handbrake cam in display settings in the esc menu ingame

What exactly should that BSF do ? Invest in businesses or give advise ? The idea sounds interesting and maybe could be pulled off in IV:MP aswell. I would be very interested in creating such mechanism.

Well lets be honest,at SAMP people apply for BSF just to earn good cash. They spare just a bit to employees and keep the rest for themselves :)

Players set up a business helping others to start theirs. They apply for funds from the Government (and if they have been working without funds
for a while, most likely will get the Government as a sponsor) and use them for spinning up the economy and the amount of new businesses.

Problem solved, and I guess this is what Rami originally meant. :roll:

T4 has not been released yet (check http://iv-multiplayer.com/ (http://iv-multiplayer.com/)). Car damage should be restored with T4 and sync should be improved (Z angle should be added).

You earn money through jobs, scripted or roleplay.

Managers + Do sometimes do paydays and event which get you money.

Yes. It will redownload the client-side scripts to your computer then. LU also uses client-side scripts via Squirrel from the same method, hence how I know this.

Then try turning your /speedo off, two guys told me once they done that they reduced the crashing.
The old speedo should be backup as default tomorrow in the first daily update, the advanced speedo will be /speedo1 [on/off].

Something messed up so yesterday he somehow created another "Vlad22" account, and his original account (named "Vlad22") change to "Altnick". When he login with "Altnick" he has everything he achieved so far. So he needs only manager+ now to delete his previous account(s) (he wasn't money cheating ;) ) so he can change nick to his desired one "Vlad22".

I would like to try modding it during the summer, but I can't find anywhere good tutorials for beginners.. and believe me,  I've searched for something like that on the internet for some time now.. nothing is good enough. Only how to install modes, but nothing how to build them :/

P.S. After a bit of snooping around I found what might be the road texture files
pc-->data-->maps-->[whichever map you want to modify]
Then you must open every .img file and in the top right search bar type "road", then finding the .wtd file you wish to modify will be easy :)

Still.. I don't dare to actually change the texture skin, because I don't know how will the GTA react on my.. ps skills  :lol:

For now it's just switching colors and color modes of existing textures.. yeah, it's a bit crappy, but I don't care.. it's mine :D

Find the area of the file you modified.. and then go there :3

Example: I've wanted to modify Bohan, so I've searched via SparkIV for "GTA IV/pc/maps/east" and there I found bronx_e.img and bronx_e2.img in which I edited bxe_roads [ Textures ] or however is it called.. :P

After that, I just had to look on the map where's the location of E and E2 areas in the Bohan :3

Currently about 30% of the base scripts are done, meaning the basic functions required for player account functions as well as the Admin system. These are
like account creation, player stats, admin commands etc. When the base scripts are completed, chosen betatesters as well as the members of the A-Team
will be required for intensive testing. Public testing is not open at this point yet, as many of the testing and bugs involve Government secrets.  :devroll:

After the base functions are completed and thoroughly tested we can begin adding seperate modules, such as player vehicles, shops et cetera.
We'll see if at that point we can make it public. ;)

I dont know what happened before T3 version but since there was no sync from shooting cars, we have not a problem like this... So is there a way to disable a driver to drive-by? (As I know Drive-By ing is not allowed but being sure on this would be good)

It is not possible to be disabled by server or client. Also the rule be changed to "drive by as driver", it was disallowed in first point to drive-by at all as it was de-synced and used to auto-aim  at the person in front of the car. Since this is fixed now, it can be used - But as always only with a proper role play reason, else it will be counted as DM.

/heydude and the phone related script are being worked on, they are easy to do but tricky to debug. Therefore it will stay in a testing trial for sometime before merging them into the main server, 1-2 weeks.

As far as I know we can order/get weed at a certain location, 5g for $250, but I'm not sure if we can /give <ID> weed <ammount> yet.

And about the jobs, police, taxi and medic are "scripted money" (I think) and fireman is roleplay, and I saw that they added hooker but I'm not sure how it works yet. Perhaps like in SA:MP, /sex <ID>

Is it possible to make some indicators always show as a "top layer" or however would you call it..

For example.. if an admin changes his color to red, his indicator on the global map/mini-map would always be on top?
So basically no one could hide him with his player indicator ;p

Any chance for a rework of in-game prices of vehicles?

The current system of prices is according to the values stated in GTA IV.. are you happy with those prices or is there any chance in future that you will change them and give the players a bit more steeper path to the "top"?

I dont know if this is right place to ask, though if not this, I see only IV:MP General Section to ask this question:

Since 2011(dunno if longer), we have faced with multiple ideas regarding missions that has nothing to do in multiplayer games such like driver job, which you do transport job by a truck and earn money when the mission is done; and this and this like ideas till 2013 were denied; so why now is there a FDLC job, which lets you earn money by doing nothing, which exactly has nothing to do with multiple players because it is just a job you just go to a point and click on F and you get the money. If people had wanted to roleplay it, they always could rp it. What has changed to let a portion of players' attention to draw into free money business and reduce roleplay chance?

Will there be any chances that groups can make a bank only for them to store and withdraw the money?

Armelin told me about some rewards after reaching lvl 20 rep which i did but i got no notification what has changed except the SU penalty's and well weed amount bought from NPCs.
So can i get some clarification what is the reward?

Also a weed market similar to SAMP one where we can sell weed for 30% of original price would be great, just to dispose of the large amount of weed some players have and cant possibly sell it in next 5 months or so :D

The current Criminal Update needs a lot of improvements , first of all for criminals , the missions are so rare and only for 2 people , do everyone have such fast fingers ? Definately not .

And you gotta be in a robbery mission with someone who you don't like to be with which is sad , because their lack of roleplaying skillz but as i mentioned , they managed to /takejob forthwith.

Also it's almost become a cops n robbers server with current script , nobody ever tries to roleplay for 1k ...
I don't wanna blame only one side , the both sides are responsible for roleplaying , but sadly none does .

Now I'm asking both criminals and law enforcements ,

In my opinion , the ones that we took from Managers were much better because they were roleplayed.

As we all have been told and believe , ArgonathRPG is a World of its own . A Roleplay server , but most of people miss the point . And that indisposes me from playing anymore.

My suggestion for deathmatcher freecops might sound abit harsh and radical , but i think thats what it takes to fix some important problems like this

Remove the beretta shotgun from freecops , let them use a pistol . (Doubt you'll like my example but , do you see any normal cops on street carrying a shotgun ? I personally dont)

Make it authorized to Cadet/Officer+  ;) People who knows the responsibility of that gun .

Also with current Respect levels , Criminals don't really get anything out of it .
You don't need any respect to join a robbery , you just need level 2 to get notified of 1k missions .

And if it goes like Level 2 for 1k , Level 4 for 2k Level 6 for 3k ... Why mane is so poor ? he gets only 4k missions ...
Which is unfair and unrealistic i believe .

Oh and I'm completely aware of that the script is not completed yet , its under development , just wanna point out some lacking stuff .

Freecops which is not aware of bad shooting sync with handgun will be in much worse position then skilled criminal with beretta.

I have mentioned about managers having the sole power to give out missions in Update 24 topic. You are right, it was roleplayed better that time. But then again, we dont wana flood a managers PM :P

The crash rule is implemented to make it harder for suspects to escape. Usually in IVMP, chases are never ending. If the wanted level is removed after crash, you will want to do the robbery mission again after a few mins. After a crash, you dont feel like doing it again but later on instead. The missions are not frequent but definitely often yes. It is in my opinion, psychologically thought to prevent abuse.

I thought about the same but we dont have a lot of cadets/officer+ in the server. Even if there is, they are not always online. There are freecops around mostly, if the shotgun is taken from them, where is the competition? The criminals will have no fear from cops. Its gonna get all biased. Obviously not everyone roleplays a police trouble ( i love to ).

Moreover, let the newbies have some fun. Admins can take care of the rest.

Improper use of a script isn't fault of managers / scripter . It's us that have to use it in good way. If a regular players doesnt see any RP going on with robbery , what he has to do ? Wait for you to escape and then moan ?

You could start the RP , instead of take out a shotgun and run all the way near the shop robbed. I'm talking in general.

We all need to make a proper use of it.

White has a point there, The auto missions should be scraped/removed only manager made should exist at this point/condition of script.

As for cops i have a suggestion, any new player that joins the server gets the rank free cops gets 35 berreta 80 pistol ammo and the free /fillup at PD command, now from the behaving of that player he can be demoted to trial officer rank gets only pistol no free refill, and removal of /su command ( or a shorter su length when a trial cops issues a /SU), this is for a reason i seen today to my extreme surprise most of regular free cops don't know what is a valid and what is a invalid SU, i was sued for "carkill" and 5 officers keep ramming me even tho i told them check the /crime ID they did and then they keep spamming /m2 and /gu now, they gave 0 attention that i was a invalid SU and just wanted to shoot me down, i exited and /gued they even investigated me how i got "carkill" su after all that, because there was no one on to UNSU me i had to be driver around in the police car for 35min, or as they suggested to jail me and act like SU never happened, which i refused).

The DM from freecops side is not worst then ever before, they can return freely to chase, they have free fuel, guns.
Whats even worse is that some new gangs think that behaving like cops is ok and are now using DM like ways of dealing with other gang/family's and not the RP as they should.
By letting police have so much power the RP now is looking like SAMP we can only RP in zones far away from cops, god forbid we meet at MGS, for a criminal RP (no matter how ig or little) means instant DM.
There days seeing a cop who will say stop LCPD surrender using by typing /gu is impossible, but getting killed in a seconds is a normal thing now.

The only thing criminals have is well more game play time (experience), we don't have more guns then cops, we don't have free instant /fillups.

So yes cops should be make by ranks so they can earn all those perks of there job.
Also rank full freecop can only be restored back by manager when he thinks the player earned the right to use all privileges of duty.

In my opinion this will distinguish the good free cops from the bad ones, and lower the work rate for A-team who at current setup needs to have admin/manager or higher ranked FBI/LCPD player to issue a cop ban.

So yes in light of Argonath vision rules all players should start from full free cop rank and get the rank they deserve from the way they play, there might be even good to add a rank in between the trial cop and full freecop like just a freecop.

And a idea of a test like passport test for the full freecop rank would be nice, that would make the Criminals know that the officers they are against know the rules know the SU from valid and invalid, know the ticket prices and the most important know that RP can make better things then just going in and blasting stuff.

I tell you how, most of the players complaining about the "lack of RP" spend their time driving fast and showing off their guns. Do you expect the new cop to be nice to you?.
What do you guys seriously want from cops now? Their RP is always trashed by players because they can't even handle paying a speed ticket without reporting.
-Someone posted about cops having free guns so I reply to this person asking where is his common sense at.
-Also if abused /GU, if there is no one to investigate you then go to jail so you don't loose your guns and then we will be happy to give you a refund.


About the robberies now, its not a job, you are not forced to do it, its a DISTRACTION that is meant to be fun. There is absolutely nothing stopping you to start a robbery RP the way mentioned above, if you cant start it your own then ask a staff for help. Also most of the informations mentioned about the robbery system is incorrect,
1- t takes 2 hours for the server begin considering starting a robbery,
2- its not only for 2 players,
3- its not always at the same place,
4- you can make much more than 1k if you and your team have more criminal respect points,
5- a few players were so successful in it that I had to raise the delay between robberies, so don't tell me its unfair.


We are always open for discussion and ideas but before tossing the responsibility to someone else have a look at your own actions.

May I remind some of you guys that even though this is a roleplay server, no one is forced to roleplay here. For those complaining about the "lack of RP" on scripted robberies, why dont you start some RP yourself?! If you want RP, then start making some. Here is an example:

You get in a robbery with someone. So after the notification, /call him. Make up a meeting point with him, gather up for some weapons and ammo, plan everything right, make up some escape vehicles and then and only then, go to the marker to start the mission. I did this on the first robbery we had for testing with Armelin and it was really fun.

If you see a robbery, dont just rush into the marker to start seeing some glowing green numbers come up and evade the cops like animals. Its not because the robberies are scripted and automatic that you need to stop roleplaying them. What I want to say is that if you want RP, then make it happen. Instead of just start complaining all over and pointing fingers on the developer who made the script.

And so far i only seen 3 spots going like this 1k-1.5k missions Comrades bar, 1.5-2k Bohan GS, 2,5k-3k (3k max i seen) China Restaurant alguien.
And i'm a lvl 20 criminal so i have those "respect points"

4- you can make much more than 1k if you and your team have more criminal respect points

Again, not for auto set robbing.


5- a few players were so successful in it that I had to raise the delay between robberies, so don't tell me its unfair.

It should be even lower that it is now.
 
P.S:

We tried, we talked they carjacked us and we got killed, then we tried again and results were the same, now even if we don't "run like animals" officers made a new tactic they ram our cars at high speed going down, well for example comrades bar street, so its not that the criminal side dose not RP its few players from both sides, only think about the money and now its all gone to hell. Only 2 cops even Rped a rob with me one was Sue other was Mark, that's all the RP in a robbing i seen (that both sides were involved) ....I personally blame the players who see only money now.

But seems this is only for manager made missions me and lee are both lvl 20 rep and still only have regular missions up to 2.5k.....not that it matter any way, but thanks for the info, and can i ask can a manager still make a mission?

And can such a thing as a lets say password be added to make group organised manager made missions more easier to get into with lets say 6 players?

And about the player owned group banks, any progress with that? Lucchese are very interested in a group bank.

The higher the stack the more players with that respect is needed in order to start that robbery, the LC bank for example requires at least 4 players with respect 32.

What about bank script? I have seen Liberty Bank will be open soon , will it include script support?

And i had in mind , /storegun for officers , we store a limited amount of guns in our trunk(Like 30) so that if we need a fast rearm we have not to go back at PD. Also for civilians , allowing to store guns inside trunk with limited amout.

I am aware that this has been discussed in some other topic , was it considered ? :)

Respect points are earned through /orderweed and robberies.

1 ordered weed from NPC = 1 respect point.
100 respect points = 1 Respect level.

/givedrugs does not give respect points to any of the players involved. That means you can have 900 weed on your inventory, but no respect points, if all your weed was given by another player.

Sadly its very true, 75% of criminal players lack imagination and need guns to have any "role play".

And fun part is you don't need guns, like really no need for guns.

That's why many criminal groups fell apart after the gun reset and few had no problems with it.

Update 25 will lower your robbery score instead of removing it completely on crash.
As for new feature, the fuel burnt will now depend on how fast you drive, 60 km/h = old rate.

Please consider those facts and remove the timing for robbery missions , we have experienced some inconvience just today , we had a great robbery today but failed due to roleplay .(after we finished roleplaying and started to run, we noticed we have failed the mission because of timing.)

I can't agree with you there, this what u said is the rare situation actually , because robberies can be started with at least 4 law enforcements presence, and we all know that people goes on duty right after they see a robbery most of the times .

Not to mention you dont pay for any support you get (free weapons & gas) and nobody carjacking you.

Also I'd like to remind you what I mentioned , the point was giving criminals chance to roleplay , not stumble them with such a thing , so may I suggest you to revise ur decision on that?

Otherwise you just sound like you fancy Cops N Robbers

Agreed, u wer the only one chasing us, but it just happend once, and there where orther cops too present at that time, but insted of trying to chase us they were pm-ing us and asking 'how to start a robbery?'. Though this raerly happens.

Nah, He should steal all the money in that guy`s pocket also you can fail in picking his pocket,when you fail he will get a massage telling him "JackDaw tried to steal you, Call 911", at least that will force players to put their money in houses, this will also make scripters script LC bank and some some ATMs :D

Oh thats a bit bad , If there is one he should get some money...,But if it can be like sa it would be great , When multi firefighters do the mission they get more money , if just one did the mission and there was more then one in the server , he get less money.
in SA they get $750-$1000 And they want more ._.
If there is just one doing the fire and if there are 3-5 , they can get up to $3000+

And About your Problem , Did You Recently Installed Any Firewalls Or Antivirus With a Firewall with it ?? Looks like this update is no longer working. Atm, after geting crash, the robbery is removed completely.

I think it would be nice if you were able to share a vehicle like you do with a house using /invitecar. This would be good for groups people RPing married, etc... (Max of 5 people per car).

Frequencies with passwords that cost you ingame (100k I think or 2000g/1000g of weed) several are locked channels locked I know of: 69, 1337

After i came back IG what i saw is punch of money hungry players who farm/collect weed 24/7 , even tho that update about drugs is kinda weird
I`m totally against the reseting of respect Levels , where is the risk in becoming a weed dealer now ?

i want to report some sirius bugs to you, so here we go :

#1 . a tune part of PCJ bike can`t be removed! (the twin exhousts, we were able to remove in 1.8)
#2 . according to several friends, bikes handlings are changed and have some issue. (you can contact them in game : charles_Genovese & steam_genovese)
#3 . state cars are very rare in 3rd island.
#4 . the toll payment on the bridge not works. if you can make some script for that will be more realistic.

hi to all Scripters!

i want to report some sirius bugs to you, so here we go :

#1 . a tune part of PCJ bike can`t be removed! (the twin exhousts, we were able to remove in 1.8)
#2 . according to several friends, bikes handlings are changed and have some issue. (you can contact them in game : charles_Genovese & steam_genovese)
#3 . state cars are very rare in 3rd island.
#4 . the toll payment on the bridge not works. if you can make some script for that will be more realistic.

in the end i have to thank you all developers of argonath for making best servers for gta.

I am not a scripter but I can answer some questions:

1. Up to scripters
2. Bikes handling is personal
3. State cars are rare on the 3rd island because players are concentrated on the first. There is a limit with how many cars can be placed on the server. It is more important to spawn more on the first island than on the 3rd.

i want to talk about those who "evade ban" by creating new accounts, and sometimes it ends by trolling. well you can just simply create a script that will refuse any creation of another account if he already have one ? maybe using using his ip.

not a manager but that would be unfair to multiple people willing to play on one network for example two brothers on single shared IP, and for many, this would be hard , as newcomers will not be willing to investigate ways how to get 2 accs working by asking someone , since theyre newcoming.

i completly agree with you. Then maybe we can just make the script only on those who get banned. Or maybe not cause they have brothers too...

Not only on the same network, but on the same VPN aswell.  ;)

That's correct.

Also, it is better to keep it like this, to see the intention of the banned player. In case they are banned, they need to be patient. Ban evading would show that they're not patient and would actually help sometimes to discover that and act according to it.

Shift fishmarket FD to Alderney FD
These are 5 missions in alderney.
1-plane sinking
2-Construction site on fire
3-Sprunk factory on fire
4-ship sinking
5-Hickey bridge
Makes sense to have fire department in alderney in aspects of RolePlay the liberty City finds the urge to open up a fire department there due to many incidents happening in alderney for the past months.

I've noticed that script /sellfish has unnecessary parameter /sellfish Name. Since the whole point of it is most likely to sell all the fish you have.. I guess that it could be turned to just "/sellfish" where the command would just sell all the fish you have in the inventory for the specific amount of money

But maaaybe.. you've put it there so that it is easier for the server to recognize the item/price connection instead of bothering calculating? xD

Generally, I am just wondering why it isn't just "/sellfish" :P

can you make car have an health indicator cause cars always explode and helicopters losses its wing and make cars respawn randomy in GTA IV server?
cause there are no cars in any server can take a lot of damage and didn't explode or show damage if there are no damage to the cars there are no mechanic that can fix it

[IDEA]how about hitman missions like type /assassin and get a job with weapon provided like sniper ,pistol.etc
and spawn an NPC to a location like deals and get to location and kill him and get awarded $1250 for every successful assassinate and the police will try to arrest him and players try to hunt him down for bounty

I have idea for fishing. First we should use /fisherman command to join that job . Second thing fishermans should have own colour like "medic: pink , fireman : red". Final thing fishermans need uniforms can be changed with /nextmodel ,and /uniform commands.

You can use that as long as it doesn't require an ASI loader which is not supported by IV:MP.

college exams for most and for others end of school year, from July expect more ppl.

I personally have exams and are only active on forums and discord.
