If you are truly serious about weight loss, there is just one sure way to do it, and it does not involve anything special. In fact you can continue eating your favourite foods.
Every product is to be divided in three components our body needs:
Proteins, Corbonhydrates and Fat.
The values of these three components are listed on many sites and even on most packings. This means it is possible to write yout toal intake by noting down everything you eat and drink in a spreadsheet and making a total of the component values. Start doing this for one week.
At the beginning of the week you should write down your weight and if you can measure it your BMI (body mass index). At the end of the week you do the same.
By the difference in value you have an indication of what you used, and how much was stored in fat.  Now it is time to start variation.
Check which foods you like would contain less fat, while keeping the other components at level. Change your diets towards them. Do this for one week and once again notice the change.
To add to the process, increase your activity. No need to overdo it if you are not used, just start walking to the foodshop instead of taking the car.

By constantly noting your actions and your food and drink intake, you will be able to make your intake of fats lower than your consumption, which means you will lose weight. Also you will notice the effect of your activity on the development.

This is a scientific method, and it will take mostly discipline to write down everything. But after some time it will become a natural habit and you will be able to know the effect of eating that extra burger.

Not going to be fast, but as it creates awareness the effect will last a lot longer.
Most diets have the problem that as you change your habits radically, after the diet you will fall back in to old habits and lose the effect.

Good luck, because it's very hard and you'll need a lot of motivation. Eating healthy food does 80% of the job, physical activity does 20%.

If you want to be encouraged by others or want to update and show your progress to others, I suggest you head to forum.bodybuliding.com . There is a teen bodybuliding thread there and I have to say that it is, in my opinion, the best forum site for bodybuilding. It has many information about bodybuilding and everybody is sharing their progress with one another. So it would be better to head over their.

All the best with your goals!

I hope you understand that losing 33+ pounds in 2 months is very unhealthy nevermind a crap load of work. Besides, you will be losing alota muscle weight as well at that rate. It should be a lifestyle, not a punishment.

I'm someone that loses weight quite quick. I used to be 100 but lost about 20 in 3 months. Just by putting a side some stuff and walking a lot (I play Golf every saturday and sunday, means I walk averagle 10-15km a weekend, not forgetting school and getting to the school of my GF every evening to say her goodbye)

So...if you want to lose alot of weight? Be in middle east and walk alot, much outside fitness and eat good also much protetin :D

Current weight: 78.6 KG/12.2 stones/171 lbs. (1.77m/5'9)
Target weight: 64 KG
Time target date (i.e. when you expect to lose it by): July
Reason behind weight goals: I want to build up from scratch, 6 packs then gonna work on arms.

http://youtu.be/WZ0NanHSPFc (http://youtu.be/WZ0NanHSPFc)

And here's my diet :

Breakfast - Oatmeal with honey and full fat milk (will be switching to toned/skimmed later) . Sometimes I replace it with cornflakes.

Lunch - Basic lunch, whatever I want I eat, whether its a Burger from McDonalds or whatever, as it usually burns off as I hit the gym in the evening.
Preferably potatoes or beans, as they keep me going for the entire day as the starch burns into energy and keeps me full for long.

Dinner - Something light, preferably brocolli, brocolli has zero fat and all the vitamins, minerals and proteins. Good thing is I love the taste too. :p

Snacks : I eat salads, like papaya, cucumber, etc etc whenever I feel hungry during mid day, or night.

:ps: I weighed 81.6KG last week, so lost 3kg in a week with that diet.

Stomach worms probably?  :poke:

I used to be really skinny as a kid, until the doctor gave me pills which killed the worms -.-

How do they get into you? As a kid we eat loads of things. In my specific case, I used to eat chalk. The smell of wet chalk always fascinated me.

Week 3, day 3.

I'm going strong so far but finding it real tough. I work in a place surrounded by the best food shops in the world spanning every delicacy you can imagine. For breakfast today, I had a protein bar, followed by lunch which was a fruit salad. Late afternoon was another protein bar followed by dinner which was rice and peas. I also had carrot juice mixed with celery and a quarter spoon of peanut butter to keep my taste buds sane.

How much did he lose so far? 3kg, 5 max?

The thing is, if you're trying to lose weight, and wish to eat something like Beans and potatoes, take them during lunch or breakfast.

As beans are extremely rich in protein they'll keep you going for the day. Which is useless if you eat them at night(will only give you gas)

Potatoes - have lots of starch, which turns into energy and again keeps you going throughout the day.

Also, protein bars can be a good option for a snack but never a replacement for a meal.

http://www.health.com/health/gallery/0,,20475957_2,00.html (http://www.health.com/health/gallery/0,,20475957_2,00.html)

Also, there's a diet with which you can lose upto 10kgs in a weak (I have in past, twice, 8kg and 10kg) but don't rush into it if you're not ready. Its a good one tho, only first two days are tough.

:ps: Not being a smartass but I have done my research, even got books, e-books and what not.  :devroll:

Also if you go to the gym, work on your chest and cardio, trust me, chest work out makes a huge impact on your frame, did for me at least.

He at 2 protein bars, salad, 1 scrambled egg, kidney beans and sauce. I would say that is about 800 calories and even that is pushing it. He also did 50 minutes of cardio which would be about atleast 600 calories burnt. That would leave him with 200 calories. I am guessing his caloric maintainence is about 2000 calories. That would put him at a 1800 caloric deficit. That is about 7kg lost in a month at this rate. So I am not sure how you can lose 10kg a week.

You can lose 5kg in first two or three weeks because that's water, then it get's REALLY hard to lose even gram.

Frank if you notice that you are getting more KG's after 4th or 5th week, remember that it's because of muscles.  ;)

I would say it's because you are not enjoying it. You should go at a slower pace and not push yourself. It should be a lifestyle because once you achieve your goal you should maintain that weight. Add in a cheat day once a week. Reduce your cardio to 30 minutes. Increase your calories a bit. Go at a rate of losing 3kg a month else you just going to hate losing weight.

I already posted the diet on one of the previous topics, but it won't  harm to send it again, it worked for me so ..
I'm currently on 95 kg and around 190cm high, plan is to lose 5 kg more, probably gonna go with kick box, because that's that kind of sport that melts your fat like butter and turn you into a animal in mater of months.

First Meal (before work):
• 150 g chicken or tuna cans
• Oats 60gr 350kcal

Second Meal (work):
• Protein with water
• Oats 60gr 350kcal

3rd Meal (lunch break):
• 150 g chicken or tuna cans
• Oats 60gr 350kcal

4th Meal (work):
• Protein
• Oats 60gr 350kcal

5th Meal (the gym):
• 150 g chicken or tuna cans
• Oats 60gr 350kcal

Post-Workout:
• Protein shake + fruit 300kcal

6th Meal (home 2 hours before bedtime):
• Tuna 150g
• Veggies fist size 200kcal

Total: 2250kcal
Follow this and take a picture, you'll see the results soon!
Fizzy drinks, including soda, gum, milk, beer without alcohol, including alc forget for the next two months.
Wednesday and Friday, rest, practice the other days plus 30 minutes of cardio.

(of course you need to combine this with some jim time, if anyone is interested I can send you the program via PM, or even here.)

Though most in here want to loose weight, I'm currently on the exact opposite challenge! Nearly 1,5 year ago, I used to weight around 75KG (Keep in mind I'm somewhat near to 1,65+cm), being fat, had a tiny belly but still.. was always a sports guy taking care of my body, and that was the moment I went crazy!... I can't say I did a correct diet, I had just stopped eating the usual junk food I used to.. So, from 75KG I fall down to 55KG suddenly because I couldn't control my stomach.. One Ice-cream was enough to fill it for one single day back then you see. Being 55kg wasn't what I intended and nor what I liked, seeing my self over-skinny was something that made me regret for what I did to my self!... For the last few months, I'm trying to gain back my weight, through eating and working out (This time I wish to gain the weight on muscle mass, instead of just fat that I had on past!).. Currently I weight 67kg, and my aim is once again 75kg just like back then.. only that this time, I'm gaining it harder through muscles and massive work out.. One more aim: Cut smoking..

Me, being 75kg (https://fbcdn-sphotos-g-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash3/483134_10151073862921770_199706223_n.jpg)

The thing is, you're a body builder. The people in this topic are trying to lose weight.

If someone wishes to have a fab body, they have to lose some weight first and burn the fat, then they can focus on getting big. Take MMA fighters and WWE wrestlers for example, they all weigh over 100kgs, even the smallest ones and they still look so fit. Its not about what you eat, its about how you eat.

I'd rather not reply fully because then we'd go off-topic, I just said my story nothing else :).. I still have a few friends who I try to motivate in loosing weight, but so far no success sadly ;|

On a serious note, losing weight is not putting in more fuel than you use.
I'll check yo progress and we'll see which one of us wins brawh.

*munches down on leftover fries*
I guess the odds are in your favour after tonight.

Saw a girl I know for a while now, she was around say 90 kg, which is extremely ugly for a girl in her best years (any years to be precise), with an average height and brother she lost 30kg   in mater of months (and she's not that tipe of girl that varies with weights, she was fat from the beginning of time), last time I saw her was around new year so what else can I tell you, I literally didn't recognized her, it took me around 5 minutes to understand who she really is, so keep up with the diet that's all you need, she told me that she didn't take any pills, and don't let anything stand on your way.
Cheers

I lost 1kg    since last time, I'm down on 94,only activity's I got atm are football and rugby, got lose of all the bread I eat and that's it, and didn't get drunk this Friday so that's another plus for me  :D  hangover from Thursday is still killing me.

Right.. I'm at 69 kilos at the moment.. What did I change ? I went to my bus for school on the bike (1-2 km) instead of walking, went with the bike more often to the Golf and I walked longer with my dog. I putted aside the daily Red Bull and some other stuff.

You lose more calories by walking/running then you lose riding a bike.
By some calculations relation is 1 : 4 , meaning crossing 1km on foot is like doing 4 with a bike.
In summer  of 2011 I was doing 25km almost everyday, you  could see the progress, but it wasn't anything admirable.
