Dear Argonath RPG Community,
It is with a mix of nostalgia and optimism that we announce a significant transition in the ownership of Argonath RPG. After nearly two decades of dedicated service and leadership, Aragorn ([R*]Ron), Gandalf ([R*]Ronnel) and Sauron have decided to pass the torch. After more than 2 years of negotiation, effective immediately, ownership of Argonath RPG and all associated assets have been transferred to WDoyle and Jcstodds.
Founded in 2006, Argonath RPG has been a beloved home for countless players over the years, thanks to the original vision of and guidance of Aragorn and Gandalf, creating a fun, friendly environment where new players could thrive. Championing imaginative and creative styles of RP whilst ensuring fairness and equality amongst players, had resulted in the growth of a small community to a thriving international hub of roleplay at its prime.
We are two cousins that have been active in the community since 2007 and have shared many unique, funny, and special moments with players, and ultimately, we recognize it’s thanks to Aragorn, Gandalf and Sauron for their perseverance, their vision and guidance, and personal investment in keeping the infrastructure running for over 18 years. We greatly honour their contributions and thank them for the solid foundation they’ve built. We wish to deeply express our gratitude at this opportunity to support Argonath’s future as the new owners.
As we embark on this new chapter, we want to reassure you that the future of Argonath RPG is secure. We are deeply committed to preserving the essence of what makes Argonath special. While development will take time, our focus is now on rebuilding a modern community platform, launching new forums and servers, and maintaining the nostalgic experience that has drawn so many to Argonath over the years.
We don’t expect there to be any major changes in the current leadership structure of individual servers. For those from the VC:MP Community, we actively want to recognize Klaus and Kessu for having done a fantastic job, and we give them our full support in leading their established communities in line with their own Argonath vision.
Similarly, we will continue to provide autonomy to the GTA:IV team as they have built their server and continue establish their own community within GTA:Connected, developed by James Conway and Marjo. The Managers - Mac_Taylor and Kawashty will be drafted into the core leadership team after significant contributions to IV:MP and V:MP development, and wider Argonath community engagement.
We want to especially show our recognition to Afterpwn (Brian) for all his help over the years in keeping Argonath stable online when it was within his control. Moving forward, we will ensure he has the correct access and tools to ensure the longevity of the Argonath platforms. This will include the active migration plan to new hosting platforms for both Game and Webservers.
As we move forward, it is crucial that Argonath RPG continues to thrive and evolve in-line with our community's values. To support this, we are excited to announce the formation of a Core Leadership Team—a dedicated group who will collectively represent Argonath RPG. This team will play a key role in maintaining open communication, fostering the exchange of ideas, and guiding the community’s future development, ensuring that all voices are heard and contribute to our shared path ahead.
These individuals have been integral to our community, consistently offering positive support, insight, leadership regardless of the challenges we have faced. Their diverse experiences and deep understanding of the community make them ideally suited to help steer our future endeavours.
Those members are: Kessu, Afterpwn, Kawashty, Mac_Taylor, James_Conway, Klaus, Khm, Bert, WDoyle and Jcstodds.
By bringing together these experienced and committed individuals, we are confident that the Core Leadership Team will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Argonath RPG. Their collective expertise will not only help in making informed decisions but also in ensuring that our community remains a vibrant and welcoming place for all its members.
For the servers & communities that have come and gone over the years such as SA:MP, Parrel Universe (ParUni), Minecraft, GTA III – we want to take the time to thank everyone who created these diverse experiences, enabling players to reconnect over the years. These will remain dormant for the time being as we undergo consultation within the core team. Future proposals regarding servers and communities will always be open for discussion, and as a team we strive to be present, active and responsive to ensure we are constantly listening and progressing.
Whether you were a moderator, admin, division leader – your help and support will always be a testament to why Argonath is well remembered to all who stepped foot into our community, and we appreciate your efforts to share and expand the Argonath experience. As we progress with our future plans, we will ensure there is a place to showcase Argonath throughout the years with an appreciation to all involved on there.

https://archive.argonathrpg.eu/ We are currently in the process of reviewing all the associated forums, discord servers, websites, socials and content of the Argonath empire that was built by the community and hosted by Aragorn, Gandalf and Sauron over the years and will keep you updated as we get to grips with these. Expect updates to come to our discord servers first.
