Gandalf you are looking only the areas where the temperature is raising a lot. And also do you know that there is no industry in Siberia or Alaska? You've been there? Neither am I so it is actually pointless. We just belive that there is no industry.
About Siberia I am pretty sure  ;)
The thing is that if the global warming is man-cause, there must be found a correlation between human activity and the rise of temperature. From the maps it can not be concluded with any kind of certainty, rather it seems that places which are not known for a lot of activity show the greatest rise.
A slight deviation in the position of our planet in relation to the sun, like a tilt towards the sun of the northern part, could cause equal effects, and a 'wobble' in the axis has been documented.

I am skeptical about our presence having this influence, and extremely aware that fast decisions might actually have such influence, although in a way opposite to the intended scenario.

I am skeptical about it also.
Quote from: wikipedia
Water vapor is a naturally occurring greenhouse gas and accounts for the largest percentage of the greenhouse effect, between 36% and 66% [13]. Water vapor concentrations fluctuate regionally, but human activity does not directly affect water vapor concentrations except at local scales (for example, near irrigated fields).
So therefore water is the most important component of all. And we can't do nothing about it. I am pretty sure that the Earth is a teenager who is just going trough just another phase.

The Earth its around 5 million years old.Thats not very much. One day we will all gonna die, perhaps not by nature itself but because of the Sun.Sun its like a nuclear reactor and its using combustible to produce energy, heat and light. When it will run out of combustible it will colapse. One day the planet Earth will gonna end just like Mars, perhaps worse cause its closer.I think this will happen in the next 1 million years ?

Just a quick note: The Global Warming problem is not as far you imagine... Last month, Belo Horizonte (My city in Brazil) registered temperatures of 38°C, which is far from being normal, the normal here everyday ranges from 15-30°C.

Easy to say it's "load of shit" for those who didn't suffer from it yet...

To add to this, in 2006 , the UK recorded its warmest summer in 43 years, recording a temperature of 30°C in Scotland, 36°C in England and 32°C in Northern Ireland, Breaking all previous records. However in 1995 Britain also recorded its coldest winter, setting a new record of -31.2°C in Braemar, Scotland. The time between these 2 events is small compared to the time the records were started, this just might be a coincidence. Its not just the UK , Thule, in northern Greenland, this Summer recorded a temperature of 22°C, being one of the coldest places on the Planet, its hardly cold.

Errr Charger it's around 4,5 billion years, about the antimatter stuff it's a very controversial subject, mankind yet has a long trail until they really get to control and understand it.

Maybe you don't understand the seriousness of the problem.

IF you are able to survive, yes. Probably for YOU it will no matter, u can afford to buy a fan or an air-conditioner, but others wont, so for them "live with it" is not an opition. Also, the future generations will suffer a lot, don't you think about them?

Ice-sheet insanity. Melting glaciers are but a trickle of water on the planetary scale. They're small change compared to the West Antarctic Ice Sheet, which holds 3 million cubic kilometers of fresh water. Were it to melt, sea level would rise 20 feet, and coastal cities, not to mention beaches, would be in tough shape.
where would I live? well actually I have no problem with it but where would a lot of people live?

Our place would be under the water... but actually it already is below sea level.

And about the water vapor... the energy business sees hydrogen as the best replacement for oil. hydrogen produces... water vapor. :conf:

Problem is that any minister would be bound by the rule that a state must have enough income. To gather this income it needs taxes, or natural resources. If you check you will see that countries with the highest amount of natural resources have the lowest taxes. The country where I live has little to none, although we have some big companies that exploite natural resources of other countries.
To keep the income, we need taxes. The higest income is from 'value added tax' paid by business over their turnover. Another big part is taxes on oil and tobacco products.
Now we can reduce oil consumption and use of tobacco products, but that will hurt the national income, meaning the state can provide less for the citizens. Also we can make more strict environmental laws and have big companies move away, again hurting the national income.

We can blame our politicians, but the truth is that any group of politicians will face the same issues and will have only limited choices in solving them.

I just thought id throw this out there..

The United States is the largest out putter of greenhouse gasses, Only because we are the largest country in the world (Canada and RUssia are bigger, but more then half of their land is unlivable)

So in case you did not know, In relation to its size, and output. The USA is NOT in the lead.
