I have been playing a game for six months and it's still in Alpha though.

Argonath is a world of its own, so... Things are obviously different here.

Look, if you are complaining about it being released, then why not take a break for a few months then come back to see if everything is fixed, it will save you, and us a lot of time arguing about something pointless.
Yes, its pointless. Why? Because its going to be fixed sooner or later. Just have patience and let the developers sort other things out instead.

They have their priorities straight, and they'll fix the more important things first. At the end of the day, everything will be done. Just wait.

Apart from the very very very irritating pick-pocket spam, jurisdiction system for cops and no Pay N' Sprays ... RS5 is very enjoyable.

I'm with Rusty, these things severely diminish the rest of the script, imo.

"Buggy release" implies that the scripters failed to correctly QA. It's still in alpha/beta.

RS5 is like a Christmas present for those who are able to adapt to changes. Those people are having more fun now than anybody could have had in RS4.

Yep, exactly. You heard it dev's, remove all the damn scripts, just leave /me, because that's all we need.

If it really was like that, I could start an Argonath Skype division, they also got the /me-command.

Doesn't matter what it implies - it was released while being fully aware what are the issues still. However, all the major bugs that would disturb your gameplay, as far as could be found, have been taken care of. While the actual beta could have been argued to be alpha (due to the major issues that some bugs caused - I had more than 3 ways of having essentially unlimited money and 2-4 ways of crashing server at will), what we have now can hardly be considered beta, there are a number of bugs that are nothing more than nuisances and don't have a lot of impact on the gameplay (Ok, sure, not being able to buy food can be a pain in the ass, honestly though, unless you're a fireman, it adds to the game anyway). Besides that, we are getting a major number of bugfixes every weekend, so the number of these is going to drop drastically.

Calling it beta/alpha would imply the goal is to try and find bugs and report them. However this isn't the case anymore. We've held a lot of you to that for a while now and its time simply to enjoy the game as you would normally, and report back any issues in the event you do encounter them. The development team has patched up a lot of bugs and we've disabled what we couldn't entirely patch and work on fixing currently. Those things will re-added in due time. It is the official released version and it will never be finished until (if it ever exists) RS6. We will continue to add new features and tweak things for months to come. There are not that many bugs and of the existing ones they should not cause issues with your ability to play the game.

I hope I've cleared this confusion up between calling it a release versus beta.
