I think the defect/bug prioritisation process needs to improve if we are to quickly improve RS5. At present it seems like the developers are fixing issues as they arise. I suggest improving this process by introducing defect classification by severity. This allows developers to focus on real/important defect fixes in rank order.

Severity 1 - Catastrophic defect that causes total failure of the software or unrecoverable data loss. There is no work around. In general, a severity 1 defect would prevent the product from being released. Example: defects that cause the system to crash, corrupt data files, or completely disrupt service.

Severity 2 - Defect results in severely impaired functionality. A work around may exist but its use is unsatisfactory. In general, you would not release the product with such a defect. Examples: with certain steps, we may generate a Windows error/message that you can click Ok on and continue with whatever you were doing with no harmful effects.

Severity 3 - Defect causes failure of non-critical aspects of the system. There is a reasonably satisfactory work around. The product may be released if the defect is documented, but the existence of the defect may cause customer dissatisfaction. Example: a non Client Financial Report is not recognizing an option correctly, but if a filter is set, the report can be generated with the proper output.

Severity 4 - Defect of minor significance. A work around exists or, if not, the impairment is slight. Generally, the product could be released and most customers would be unaware of the defect's existence or only slightly dissatisfied. Example: A button or button set is slightly off center on a data screen, or the problem is purely cosmetic and not easily recognizable.

Nope, the forum board can still be used, however the developers can modify the topic titles to reflect the priority of a bug. I think it's a good idea to implement a system like this.

I thought I would hold judgement and post when I thought It got a little better.

Since Rs5's full release I have not fealt so infuriated by several elements since the times when a player would get cop banned for asking if he could patrol with some SAPD's.

Rs5 has caused me much anger and bemusement.

The fire mission wasn't made for role play, but only as a source of money, it must be a sick twisted implementation to witness and encourage players to DM, carjack, ram and anything in between that and the pain felt when you get a really bad first degree burn.
Everyone is a fireman for money.
The server is actively encouraging people to pursue zombie like currency mining, without any role play. There is a clear consensus that money = 's role play, you got to have it first before you role play, and this is true on Argonath RPG.
You could not even sell a hotdog. You will get lucky withe the first 25 who think it gives health, but no one will come there to buy a hotdog to role play.

The police Jurisdiction system is just a plain mistake.

There are no Taxis. EVER.

You die and spawn all over the map.

You need 40 per cent to get a loan. The fee is too high.
Rest of bank stuff doesn't work.

When you're a suspected you're paid to be a criminal, that is if the cops do not try to now kill you faster than in rs4 before you can even /gu. It's now common for cops to suspect and immediately kill, before you can even /gu, because they know if you GU, they get nothing.

The scriptwriters keep bothering on buggy things which if removed would be less hassle all together anyways. But I guess you can't blame them for wanting to fix it. This means time is spent fixing bugs which just keep re-appearing.

The Management team is now nearly non-existent. You only get 3 on for 20 minutes. Choose managers like people like moderator Slavik, forget the Admin position and just make him a Manager, there's a chance it'll turn him mad but it's worth it.

The drug system is now complicated and confusing like everything else.

At this point I feel like not playing for any less than a minimum of 3 days, most likly will be 2 days.

to be honest, devs, or Gandalf need to ask more questions of players before they go make their things like blocking of pay and spray which now some say is returning, but I've not seen it.

For example "Do you think it'd be a good idea for us to make a medic mission?" Not wait for people to post threads and ask for suggestions. 

There's no link between a normal player and a devs.

It's infuriating and isn't fun.
Things was just put in a haste and it doesn't seem care was taken to seriously consider what RS5 will be.

We were not "just curious", but with RS4 data loss, we had no choice really, especially as beta had nowhere near the player levels we have now and the server was dying.

If you don't like it, simply come back in a month when everything should be working smoothly.

I will help to increase good communication.
I will meet once a week to discuss things with community leaders and devs.
Community leaders will be able to better understand the needs and wants of players, and the players will be able to communicate their concerns much more constructively.
