I have, and I highly doubt the saying was implemented by a muslim. I'm pretty sure a non-muslim came up with that. And I am also quite sure it is not from the Islamic way. Trust me, I have slaughtered quite a few chicken. None of them ran around. Every single chicken I slaughtered or any muslim who I saw slaughtering, died there. No running around at all. As I said earlier, if the animal is not ready for submission, it shall not be slaughtered.

Yeah it actually works. Me and my dad fortunately had the chance to slaughter lambs on the day of Eid Al Adha. We tried it out there, worked perfectly. Oh and it was at a farm of a non-muslim since we live in a non-muslim country. But yeah it worked perfectly. The lamb did  not run around for minutes. It did not run around at all, just peacefully died there in the name of Allah.

Here is a funny fact: There is not even 1 country which uses 100% islamic laws. If there was one which uses 100% islamic laws (which is not only sharia) it would work pretty well. Just like in the old times (history) muslims were one of the most powerful and perhaps the wisest, spreading islam in the most peaceful way possible. Why? Because they were 100% according to islam.

That troll would be the forum itself. All tiny text has been "censored" to display very large instead. People decided they wanted to keep taking advantage of the forum features, so they were changed.

Religion and the state have never been a good mixture when it comes to promoting actual equality.

I have to agree here for the most part, as political agendas and personal beliefs already clash on their own. Mixing them is only creating more chaos. It can vary in some cases, however, as true believers of some religions will often use it to promote good and peace in politics. It really just depends on how it is done, and the local culture affected by it.

Read the Qur'an and you'll find out why, cba to explain the same thing over and over.

It also depends on your interpretation of it. Thanks to many extremist groups using religion to fuel their greed and hatred, many religious books have become "tools" to promote the wrong things. It is only those who believe in seeking peace and guidance from these works in a positive way that will be able to successfully mix them into politics/government in a way that does not create more problems. That is why I hope that the revolution's outcome causes people to realize this before they take their demands for rights too far, and accidentally self-censor themselves or others.


As for the original post's information, promotion of violence and murder should not be part of a revolution's goals along their path to success. The point of a revolution is to reform things for the better...not take the lives of those who don't agree. Remember, revolutions are supposed to make things better for everyone, not just some...else it defeats its own purpose.

It simply disgusts me how people stereotype (i.e. "All muslims blah blah blah") a certain religion negatively based on the actions of extremists who use the religion for their own gains. I myself have Muslim friends and they are some of the most peaceful people I know.
