Clarification about drugs

As i'm getting alot of questions about this, i'm making a topic where everyone can see this. This will also not be the answer some people are looking for.


I'm getting alot of questions about the drug market in which players are claiming they have bought several thousand grams of weed for $40/g and want a refund for it. That will not happend as if we would, we would need to spend ridiculous amount of time checking through i dont know how many months of logs, track exactly how much each player claiming a refund has bought weed for, track what the selling player has done with the money, track who got money from each purchase and remove money from other players not directly involved in the dealing and so on. Each case of a refund request would take weeks and with 10 or 20 requests of refunds, we could be talking about over half a year of just checking through logs which is not feasible as we dont have 10 - 15 hours per day to look through logs only.

So, in short, I bought <amount> weed for <price> per g, the drug market value is way lower than i bought it for. Can i have a refund? No, no refunds will be given out.

Also a clarification about the drug market price.

You might be seeing a low market price, but considering the seed cost, and the lowest amount you can earn on each weed plant, you will ALWAYS make a profit of each plant. The purpose of the market is for a group to work togheter to earn money for their given group, not for individual players to become rich on it. We could increase the market price, but that would only be done after VERY careful considerations as we dont want groups to earn alot of money in a very short amount of time.

Is there any possibility to raise the weed market price to at least 15$/g?
This 8$/g price made players to stop making weed. I barely see one guy doing weed these days. I guess 15$/g or even a bit more would make a change.

Thats will kill player to player dealing,I mean do u even see anyone doing drugs  dealing now ? I barely see one or 2 deals

And what about the thousands of grams we have stored in our container ? Me and my group have spent more than 500k on buying the drugs. If you, or any other manager buys the drugs from all of us ( players, not only my group ), it will inject a huge amount of cash into the server. I plan on working on drugs again, as that's the only way I can get a profit at this moment ( due to unfinished/bugged scripts ).

When I gave my name on a list a player made, I never knew it was for refunds. I, myself, don't ask for a refund, I ask for a buyer. I bought at $xx/g price and I had to sell at $xx+1/g price, which I didn't find profitable at all. So, I didn't sell the drugs, and instead kept storing them. Maybe the developers can buy it from players, just this once ? No one will buy at 30/g and sell at 8/g. Everything will go normal afterwards.

So what you're saying is; to become wealthy you're obliged to do drugs as a group and not as individual? What about people who don't want to be part of any group?

People won't be motivated to farm drugs with such low market prices, neither individually nor in a group, because it's simply not worth the effort. Not changing the market prices will only slow down the process of getting the economy going, think about it please.

I gotta agree with what Stivi mentioned above. I am also not looking for a refund, I am looking for a buyer. I am not going to sell my drugs for $8/g right now at the Market considering I bought them for around $40/g I will wait for the prices to increase or someone that will agree on buying for atleast $40/g, even if it takes a year. Since the new drug system was released, I have only grown 36grams of weed and bought 0. I've turned into a fireman which really sucks.

No, it's still legal. Check the constitution.

Can you not just return the drug script to what it used to be 2 months ago? That way everyone will be happy. That's not too fast money, yet we'll get our money back.

This is an complete absurd. It completely discourages players interact between each other. I mean what for they should interact with each other if they are not gaining any profit in that matter,nor they need to,as they got bot which they can spam all day long.

I thought if we implement an script,it should motivate player interaction,this one definitely doesn't.

This definitely needs rework done,or to be completely removed,and its not even matter of money here right now,its just bad to see that script already small community seperates even more apart,and no it wont encourage groups work together and stack drugs,it discourages if nothing else at all drug business.

Rework this please.

You guys are really putting a lot of effort, to make Argonath even more annoying for players, and even more empty then it is at the moment.

And before anyone  dare to say I'm wrong, go check the groups activity section, and the player count on the server.

The whole update is just the last nail in a coffin you guys are putting, to completely destroy groups activity.

I agree with this.
Players complain about things and features, they either get banned or told to /q if they don't like it, where's the gain in that?
If I was in shoes of owners/scripters I'd make sure players are interested into the mode and that it's fun for everyone, not shove it up with my ideas and let others adjust to it.
Removal of jurisdictions was a great and big step, still it was only for SAPD.
Those criminals and criminal groups used to make 60% of the server.

Everyone is amazed with the criminal system update (drugs), never seen any other player getting annoyed about it but there is something no one is understanding.... Server isn't only SAPD and Criminals, server isn't only money... The missing key is the old imagination that everyone had. What's more annoying, you guys focusing only on yourselves thinking that the game is your "life" putting the blame on the scripters who're trying to make the server more enjoyable but you guys just keep moaning about a virtual "money".
