Yeah and you can own a house so easily when you start with $0.  :hah:
Is it possible that the server remembers what weapons you carry when you quit the game so you join with that same weaponry the next visit?
What about storing skins?  :D

Cops have their HQ as well where they can get new armor for free if needed.
Plus criminals like us spawn unarmed, while cops always have a starting kit of weaponry. Criminals also deserve a storage of weaponry, which should just made like an ammunation is right now, a maximum of 5 different weapons which can be stored in an HQ.

That makes sense, since police are funded by the government. Why would anyone fund criminals?

As for the HQ, I would support its return if criminals would have to actually deliver the weapons to the HQ from an ammunation or something, and if they could loose them (for example VCPD could search their car and arrest them for weapon trafficking or rival gangs could try and steal the weapons.)

In the initial thought for HQ changes, there was a discussion about HQ owners needing to deliver their weapons from ammunations.

Discussing all inventory types and not limited to weapons:
This includes all the items which are lost on death(example: drugs etc)

They can be stored in:

  • Owned properties.*
  • Someone else's property that you have the key to. Acts as Gang HQ.*
  • Warehouses - A type of business which gives you storage space.*
  • Crates: You can buy a crate from Tools shop and stash inventory in it. It will create a object which you can put anywhere. If you dont hide it well, it can be picked up by someone else.
  • Briefcases: Similar to crates, but is a pickup(easily visible)
  • NPC Sharks: You can feed the inventory to a shark. To retrieve it, you'll need to catch it.
  • VCPD Evidence Rooms: If you get arrested your inventory is stored in VCPD HQ. It can be raided later
  • Car trunks: If the car gets destroyed, so is your inventory.
  • Mars: You can strike a deal with AASA(Argonath Aeronautics and Space Administration) and send items to Mars.

* Items marked with a asterisk can be raided by VCPD if they have a search warrant.

Well, taking into account that we have quite a lot of admins and a "controlable" player base, I don't think that would be a problem.

Guns are legal in Vice City.

When, then guns could be bought legally, or smuggled using smuggle illegally. Buying the weapons from smugglers should be cheaper, but illegal perhaps?

Guns bought from ammunation are obviously legal.
However it would be cool to smuggle weapons into the city and then sold/stored as stock at ammunation or HQ, delivery trucks/vans will be more of a use besides just being used by the trucker job. If the cops ain't tracking the illegal shipment or simply fail to intercept them then ammunation owners (like myself) could just resell them legally with licenses.

Obviously this won't be happening, but besides that why can't they be sold legally.
With proper licenses everything is possible.

High-end weapons will be illegal and made more difficult to attain. Ammunations obviously will not sell them otherwise the store would be closed down for selling illegal weapons.
No, you can't just "get a license" to sell illegal overseas weapons. What world do you live in...

Would we want to make a distinction between 'criminal-only' HQs and other properties? We considered a system in the past involving 'keys', where the owner of a property can give a key to any other player so that they also can access stored items within that property.
This would be quite a good way of establishing a sharing system.

We can just roleplay passing over a key to another player which invites that person to the HQ obviously the leader owns.
In my opinion all that needs to happen to the HQ is nerfing the amounts of weaponry that can be stocked, I remember in 1.9 when I had access to EAF HQ that when you typed /c getwep you got 2 full lines of text and still half was unreadable because there were so many stocked weapons in there.

Oh and by the way, if HQ's come back, going undercover to attempt to get access to another clan's HQ should end up in a permanent ban.
