If you go Android, get a flagship device... those are the only ones that can compete with an iPhone. With iPhone they only produce iPhone, so there's no competitive market for different iPhones. Since Android is designed on principle of openness, really any manufacture can produce an Android device with little "quality" specification requirements from Google. All in all, Android is the superior operating system granted you get the device that fully taps into the potential of the operating system. I hate when people shun Android when they are using some Chinese pile of shit off-brand device. No shit your phone sucks it's only using 10% of the potential of Android. Point is: Get a flagship device. Look into HTC and LG, they're known for some pretty decent cameras.

Right now I'm set on the Xperia but really contemplating the G5.

What brand is this OnePlus though? That's something I won't trust.

OnePlus is the brand, One and Two are the models. OnePlus is actually fairly reputable and while not a high end device, is a fairly competitive device. I would look into the camera if that's your biggest concern.

Both operating systems are great.
The only difference between them is that Android is open than the iOS, this means you can do pretty much what do you want with your Android device. You can root it and customize as you wish, change kernels, overclock, upgrade/downgrade anytime and alot more. One more thing is that Android it's much more animated, but in rest that's pretty much it.

The iOS dosen't allow any of these it's pretty much a locked system. The only thing you can do it's "jailbreak" as far as I know.
The iPhones are have the best bulid quality, the apps are reviewed by the Apple before posting them into the App store, the design it's nice and classy etc. Another thing to say about iOS is that it's the most optimized system out yet. There is a good connection between the software and hardware since both things are made by Apple, while Android smartphones are made by
a huge number of companies, practically impossible to make it flawless on every single phone.

In short words:
iPhone = Classy, speedy, easy to use.
Android = Developers heaven, fits best for a guy who only plays a few games while at dentist or just texting up and down.

I personally am a Samsung S7 user at the moment and the phone is much better than expected. Also had a iPhone 6s but the phone wasnt durable enough to survive a heavy metal piece falling on it... but yeah iOS is much more enclosed otherwise the only superior thing is game performance. iOS is simply better optimized

I personally prefer iPhones, the only android phone I think its efficient is Sony. Try the new Sony Z5.
