Windows XP vs Windows Vista

Gird3r how long have you tried/used Vista? As far as I know you don't like any changes at all. Example: A quote from you "SAMP is like giving up roleplay" There is nothing wrong with you, not liking SAMP. But saying generally that SAMP sucks, is not correct as I see it. Just because you dont like SAMP, it does not mean that it sucks.

I like changes that works with what i think is fun.

I want to defend my point on sa:mp sucks by going off-topic.
My arguments for hate sa:mp.

*No stable netcode (I have played sa:mp)
*Crashes that is annoying. (yes all programs crash now and then)
*No fun gamemodes (always the damn Los santos shit and las venturas game mode hurray, mostly these gamemodes is what i see)
Also San Andreas is to big to roleplay. Atleast i see it so. That's why i said "playing sa-mp is like giving up roleplay". That is what i felt for it. A very big place to run around in and chase criminals mile after mile. No thanks.



If i didin't like changes at all i would not have a new computer with things that i'm not used too.
I woulnd't have agreed to move to this city (Just that is a whole change to my life style).
I woulnd't agree to see my dad with another woman than my mother etc.

As i said i like changes that are fun. But changes that does not comply and can improve my attempt at having fun in my life while i can sucks. For me.

Okay, now onto vista:

Is expensive if you want ultimate version (over 5000-6000 kr? Jesus that sucks hard time)
Comes with the so almighty nice looking art that also sucks perfomance like candy.
Only Vista is allowed to use DX 10 as far as i know.
Vista still sucks graphics like candy. In most cases.

I never used Vista. And i don't need what Microsoft shat out of thier asshole. Windows XP they shat out is good enough for what i do and what is fun. I don't need a OS with the o so almighty functions like swapping beetween screens in a cool way and voice reqnogition.

Oh and about the graphics. For those who want to spend money to be able to have these graphics and think it's cool go a head. I rather hold on performance than graphics.

No problems after tinkering with compatibility with ANY of my Programs.
So, you need to like, go somewhere else with the 'Vista isnt compatible with anything' and the 'Vista sucks, XP all the way'

to
"XP all the way, cause i cant sit down and learn how vista works, and i am very lazy, so thats why vista sucks and XP pawns"

I have both Vista and XP, as son as I got inet on the vista pc, never used the XP one anymore.
Vista is much more secure.

Well, the difference between DX 10 and DX 9 is very big. I do not have any problems with Vista.

Anyway, vista will not run on my computer, so im neutral in it. But from i remember alot of people have same problems with XP when they change 98se. XP have alot problems on start too. I sugest to whait till updates. should help.

I didn't at first like the idea of Vista. I actually hated it, without ever having used it.

So, my brother got it on his new Laptop, and whilst he was away my parents wanted me to use it for something in another room (away from my Desktop) - viewing a Sports Channel stream on a website. I said "Ok, so what, its Vista. It really, really can't be that bad."

Well, let me assure you that after attempting to open a webpage, and download a specialised video player.. it really, really is that bad. It was slow, sloppy, and difficult to use. Also, the minor argument of "It looks nicer" is also not true - it looks rubbish. My Custom XP Theme looks way better than the Vista thing, and the Vista.. Mac-Like-Thing.. in the top right really put me off (it kept popping up).
Afterwards, I switched the the Mac OS X nearby to have a go on that. I have to say, I found that easier to use. And I hate Macs, and can't use them for anything, ever.

XP all the way, my new Alienware PC is shipping with it.

As i have told my opinion to many times about vista sucks. And players says vista is the best. Other say windows xp is the best etc. Therefor i'm starting this topic to disscuss it.

My arguments on why Vista sucks:

*It is not comptiable with most games for the moment.
*Was realeased to early
*Sucks graphics like candy.
*Only Vista are allowed to use Direct X 10. Fuck that.
*Voice recnognition (who wants that anyway?)
*bugs

Why i think Xp is the ideal chooise.

*It's compitiable with almost all games. Vista just see the future and don't care about old good games
*It's stable unless you crack something up in a wrong way.
*It's easy to use and have a little more freedom, Vista tries to solve problems by itself wich sucks because it can go wrong.
*Once again it's stable.

And for all you IE users who complain you get trojan with it in XP.
Stop surfing wierd sites and get a anti virus.

i think that vista does suck. The bugs are horoble and the data is all over the place. WHen i got a new vista computer i got 3 gigs of ram a nice g-force 8500 graphics card and it still runs laggy and does "blue screen". I never had this problem On my old desktop this "blue screen" witch is when the computer cannot process a program when it starts up so your screen goes blank. Yet a notther flaw in vista....what a suprize. I called customer support witch did not help and said that it was a programing error witch is ovious. I finally got so mad at it because no games would work and there was a delay for every program i opened up i sold it back to best buy. I eventually bought an alein ware laptop with XP professional 17 inch witch has worked great even though it was like 4 grand and i owe plenty of people money witch i cannot pay back. In the end after looking at the bill for my old vista computer and aleinware computer i was out 4 grand....
damit! lol

But then again you have never used it, or attempted to use it.
Thus you not being able to understand how your PC works.

I got Vista home premium, 1 gig of RAM, mine has never been slow, or 'sucked up gfx like candy'...
After 24 seconds of tweaking some of this, uninstalling that, click this & that, delete one of those, my gaming is perfect.
My computer has very good performance, for being a peice of crap.
I dont lag or have slowdowns, at all.
