As Gandalf stated in the first page We were having the same situation when people were moving from ME to XP 2000 to XP and so on. Of course there will be incompatibility Its the same as Liero and all other famosu games that was made for 98 When we moved to XP it stopped working thats just something u have to live with. Now everybody seems to love XP and the majority is not using 98 just to play the old games. If you still want to play the OLD games Just stick with XP. Sooner or later you will have to move to Vista, Cus of incompatibility with XP,  You see my point?

Vista, Works pretty well with Ultimate 64bitars, I like it because you have readyboost let you use an flash drive as a extra memory and so  on also if you have a little extra space on your memory Vista can take that and let the graphicard use the additional memory. Pretty nice!

Thats why im not using XP Everything works as good as XP(for me) at vista ultimate (64bits)

Cheers!
Hope you all will move to Vista :)

FYI, Liero works under WinXP, but:

a) without sound
b) when launched through DOS-Box (emulator)

Play for fun and friendship, not for stats or achievements.

Liero extreme works on XP and linux.

1. It's not slow, I have no problems with it's speed. And If I had, I could use a pen drive to speed it up. Like clooak said.

2. You can turn them off... But I won't cause they have a purpose. They avoid .exe files to open and avoid windowns files from being edited without you knowing.
They don't show up as frequent as you think. And they can be turned of, so thats no excuse.

3. Yes it is. But there are people that pay for PCs with it, and then change to XP. People that do this can only be marked as idiots.

4. Mine hasn't bugs... It had, but since the second update. No bugs at all.

I'm very happy with Vista. It took me a while to get used to, but know, when I use XP. It just looks like a prehistoric OS.

Yes, for gaming - XP is better (Performance wise)
Its a lighter OS for your PC to run, but not that much.

I must be the luckiest person ever, I've never had any problems with Vista what so ever.

We ran tests in the PC clinic.... We could all get an XP machine signing onto msn... starting a game up...  loggin in... booting up... all faster than a vista machine.... both OS's on two laptops with the exact same specs.. running vista home premium and XP media centre edition.

Two PCs with the same spec, on runs XP, other runs win 98.
98 is faster so I guess 98 is better...

i was on 98 till about 2005
Lol, same...

I seriously don't get why Vista is such a big deal, it doesn't do much of a better job than XP... maybe even a worse job. It has some extra features, but its not really worth the update in my opinion...

I agree that it is not worth the update. I wouldn't pay for my Vista. But since it came with my PC.
The thing is that some people unistall Vista and install XP.

I don't think that Vista needs to be downgraded to XP.

I guess after the difficulty of using it becomes too much, people do just upgrade back to XP.
I use the word "upgrade" intentionally.
