Chapter 5-1 : Homecoming

Almost a year had passed waiting on the Prophets' return. The Nomads had all but disbanded. The desert seemed to take away the oasis they had built. Without the Wandering Prophet, they had strayed. Properties went into foreclosure, and for sale signs went up. Everyone had moved on. Everyone except Ramses.

Ramses had taken up a job in the industrial section of Las Venturas, making shirts for the various outfitters in San Andreas. The business went under rather quickly, and Ramses bailed the original owner out of debt. There wasn't much left to the old factory, some crates of wool and some aged Crafting Tables.

That's when he got the SMS. Make ready for the Prophet's return. was all it said. He smiled and cracked open a box of supplies covered in dust. Dumping the contents on the tables, he began working on his new project.

Chapter 5-2 : Regrowing Roots

Fort Carson was close to a ghost town again, like it was before the Nomads first arrived in the desert. Interest had died out in the city with V's Las Venturas mayoral campaign. Layers of dust and grime covered most of the shop windows, Ramses noticed as he drove through the town looking for the old Nomad landmarks.

The Logistics Airfield to the north had all but been abandoned, and was now protected by the Angels of Death. The Desert Jewel, the furniture store, had been picked up by one of the many Svennsons. Ramses couldn't quite tell which country the new gas stations owner was from by his thick accent.

First things first... Ramses thought as he pulled his shovel from the trunk.

After hours in the field, the bundles were packed and ready to go. Not a single LawDog...or even another person passing by.

Ghost Town. Was all he could think. It's still perfect.
Smiling, Ramses drove down Main Street recalling fond memories. The smile soured as he approached Allen Omlas's office. It didn't look like anyone had been there in months.

Ramses sighed, breathing the words, Such a waste.

Then he noticed the hotel across the street from the Mayor's Office for sale. Making a quick call, he purchased the hotel, then quickly bought the rest of the stores on the block. He went into the VIP lounge with the bundles from earlier.

It was time to come up with a game plan.
