Gandalf, I don't know where you're getting this idea that we're shunning new players from.

As you can see we have integrated a help system specifically catered to helping new players. And aside from answering the occasional server question, I have seen time and time again our experienced players going out of their way to pick up a new guy and show him where city hall is, where to start making some money, and even some of the basics of roleplay. My group has an associate system which not only seeks to train new guys in the ways of Gvardia, but to also help shape them into independent players who understand how to roleplay. We even have a script that shows in bright colors when a new player has registered, and broadcasts when they finally receive their passport

If anything, we have been paying more attention to the individual needs of new players now more than in the entire history of RS5 - both scriptwise and in terms of player attitudes.

People talking about "newbies" and 90 percent of them are hackers. Pushing off people who are active and playing daily on your server is a very bad idea.

You blame people for "trolling" but they're just supporting their idea, if it is against your vision then simply restrict making suggestions. You should listen to their voice since those "trolling veterans" you're talking about are keeping your server alive and they're the last people deserving to be disrespected.

There are hundreds if not thousands of communities that have started and died in the life span of this community, there is something that differs us from them. Is it the scripts? It's not the god damn scripts and you know that, servers that pay their scripters died for the love of god. Is it the great support of our community founder that pays the bills and comes out of his cave every 6 months? You know it isn't, the only time we talk to you is on argo birthdays where we demand money and we don't get any.

It is us. The regular players, the veterans, the people who are here through thick and thin, may it be banned for bullshit, may it be living through CBFasi's reign, it is us who built the community, I don't know in what crooked ass world you live in where you think "oh, new players stay for the scripts and leave because people are mean to them" no, they see people, they see us either goofing around or roleplaying, whichever we feel like and if they are intrigued they stay.

By pushing away, literally banning veterans of this community you are successfully killing it by stabbing it in the heart. You might say that Devin and Teddy ruined everything because they made a rock solid community that is bringing back old players (oh noes more veterans must ban those now) that acknowledges the rules and how things work. But at least they didn't start banning people who disagreed with them.

You dream of making hackers into roleplayers while there are admins on the server that have to deal with 20 rulebreakers and hackers joining by themselves while you enjoy your time shitposting. Great. Good job on the thinking thing Gandalf. I see that still works, how about you start actually helping.

I have no idea where you get the idea for "veterans shoving away new players" though. In the wave of new players that joined from the recent official hosting we got a huge amount of noobs who are at this point in recognized families, hell some leading recognized families. I would love to see you show proof of us hating on noobs. Nobody disrespects them and calls them hackers unless their name is literally Demos_Servos_DDOS and starts saying "I will DDOS the server because you banned me " Is your concern admins and moderators spectating new players as soon as they join the game? Do you want admins to make a list of every hacker that joins so you can turn him into a roleplayer?

Releasing a script, not even releasing a script, forcing the hand of Teddy to release a script that the veterans dislike? Alright. Let's take it as you just telling us "let's give it a try" You know what? That is great. Let's give new scripts a try. After this we maybe could give no blips a try?

And I did not ask to to switch it on immediately, I asked you to create it for a possible 5.3 as intended, that means territories will be the thing that criminal groups use to fight over instead of killing eahc other for no reason at all.

He's the owner so yeah, I guess that how things go, but be aware we're players of this server and our requirements have to be filled in too. You guys should listen to the voice of players, who invest their time here to have some fun and instead of doing scripts they ask for, you ban them.

I converted more hackers to RP than we have regulars.

And where are they all now? If you converted so many, why don't we have anyone that can vouch for you?

When I came back to server, with my group weak, I recruited new players at LSAP. There was one guy, hacking armour. I told him to turn hacks off, I drove him to electronics store, bought him phone and CB radio, invited him to group as trail and roleplayed with him all day. At the end of the day he told me "sorry I gtg, you are nice, you are admin right??" and then he logged off. I never saw him again.

Not everything is sunshine and flowers in-game. From my experience converting isn't hard, but making them stay is.

Not everyone is a 14 year old child who needs big daddy Gandalf to tell them what they really want.

Really Gandalf, you built this place together with Aragorn, and it has lasted for 10 years. And while you have my (and the community's) utmost respect for that, you need to listen to your players for that respect not to fade. Please, be reasonable and stop forum banning veterans for disagreeing with you, they are the ones actually playing and helping new players in-game. Put some trust into the players once in a while, you may be surprised.

and for your information we didn't get new players up until recently because SA-MP client is bugged and the Internet tab isn't working. I wasn't going to pay for hosted tab so we can get this wave of new players who don't do shit but hack, ban evade, then DDOS the server when they get banned again. So don't pin that on me and actually learn something about the system you're so "interested" in all of a sudden.

I'll script what you want just to see it blow up in your face. So I can be here in the moment this community dies and just be like "I told you so" with such pride.
