The classic and beloved game Age of Empires celebrates 20 years this year. Microsoft is celebrating the release of a Definite Edition where the original was updated and improved. It gets better graphics in 4K where it is also possible to zoom out much more than before. The game also gets updated and improved gameplay as well as a newly recorded soundtrack.

Age of Empires is being fully remastered. You can sign up for the beta at http://www.ageofempires.com.

Holy shit, I've been waiting for this for so long.
I'm done with AoE 3 where u can't even control your army correctly.
I think the best one was Age of Empires 2 Conquerors Edition. Really love this game :D

Well, it's great that they've decided to polish and remaster such a game. Too bad it's mostly visuals and has not improved the strategy gameplay part that much, just zoom levels and Xbox multiplayer...

Just keep digging for your true purpose in life! That is, of course, what you deeply want and have dreamed of your entire life! Just, don't waste it on becoming a replica of someone... We are really UNIQUE how we are.

Lets hope that my microwave can run it, I had so many friendships destroyed over this game :P but still it was incredible!

I mean I still enjoy the HD-remaster alot, if it has a reworked multiplayer snd the pricetag isn't that bad I'm def gonna buy it! :D

Good news! The game will be released on October 19, 2017. Also, the beta version will be available starting with August 22.
