I'd say HQ could perhaps be more active but we all could be. Initiative: Carson is running, join in, get some RP happening. To be fair, we were actually hitting a good 30-40 players a night. I think some people are just demotivated by the V:MP shutdown, and to be fair, that's understandable.

However, if we could hit 40 players a night then, we can do it now! Official groups such as SAFD, SAEMS, SAPD and FBI should crack down on activity expectations, host more events such as the public training I hosted on Saturday.

We just need some motivation, determination and CONSTRUCTIVE criticism. With all this, Argonath SA:MP will be hitting 40 players a night in no time!

 Personally for me, it's the lack of RP. And that lack of RP gradually increased the past 3-4 years to the point of legit braindead 12 year old retards being unbanned just to sustain a playerbase. At this point I do not believe there's much that can be done to bring back the playerbase, despite our dev team's hard work(To which we should be grateful!). The fact we kept the same troublemaking groups keep growing and growing, no valid group administration, no rules or at least guidelines of Roleplay...We just took the final step toward being a freeroam server, and hate to say it but many of our members were free to roam elsewhere.

 As for the people throwing shit at HQ...Well, I don't see you guys suggesting an alternative or doing anything better but then again...The server's dead because of fucktards like you people too. When the minority of dislikeable players with cancerous attitude becomes the majority, in place of the people who logged in to roleplay and enjoy their time, that's when the problem occurs.

 Everyone kept bringing up that other server that opened up, well that server was Argo's greatest chance to shine. Because a majority of those idiots who keep ruining the place left off for that server, we had a clean start. But noone wanted to take the next steps, they waited for someone to do it for them.

This. It's not just an Argonath issue. It's an entire SAMP issue. Sure you may find a couple english rp servers with 20-30 players other than that major well known one with ~100 players. However it's clear the SAMP community as a whole has been neglected by the creator of SAMP - Kye/Kalcor/Kyeman w/e you want to call him.

- He doesn't like how youtube operates, so he censors YouTube links on the official SAMP forums, tells people to make their own forums if they want to do so, yet bans people for mentioning said forum when they do make one.
- SAMP forums have been getting a lot of DDoS attacks from the middle east region. Instead of doing proper DDoS mitigation he decides to block the entire IP range from accessing the forum, which won't stop an actual DDoS attack.
- Internet list mirrors the hosted (paid) list because he doesn't want to take effort into cleaning up bot ridden servers, while also refusing offers to help in that process.
- And the final nail in the coffin is him refusing to update SAMP with much needed updates and bug fixes, while banning most of the prominent script contributors for speaking out about it.

Former SAMP developer and betatester Y_Less and some others are making a backwards compatible SAMP alternative called open.mp .. I don't know how long it would take for them to get something workable released but it's SAMP's only hope right now. You can find more about it here - https://www.open.mp/
