I. Opening Statement
• Attorney at law Paul Slaughter representing Andrew Aky

Honorable supreme court, on the 13th of August 2022, Sir Klaus, from the AAT Committee, has found Mr Andrew Aky guilty of on count of contempt of court, after Andrew had a heat-of-the-moment outburst during a court hearing (which won't happen again!) for the case of 'United States of Argonath vs. [DU]Orochi' [Exhibit A].
Judge Klaus has issued a monetary penalty of $45,000 ARD unto my client (Andrew Aky).
The issue with the monetary penalty, is that according to Vice City Criminal Law (2021 edition) section 3, article 2; people charged with contempt of court are liable to fine of $10,000 ARD, which is $35,000 ARD less than what was handed to Mr Aky.

I am humbly requesting the honorable Supreme Court on behalf of my client, for the fine to be reduced to the amount set in law ($10,000 ARD), and for the extra $35,000 ARD to be returned to his bank account.

Article 2: During all proceedings, courthouse rules and regulations must be observed. Failing to do so shall result in being in contempt of court and liable to a fine of $10000.

JUDGEMENT

[1].        Failing to abide by the rules of the court constitutes a breach of Section 3 Article 2 and a $10,000 fine. However, a Judge can also issue a penalty under Section 10 Article 3, for disrespecting the decorum of the court, infringing upon due process or willfully disobeying a verbal or written order of court authority. As a result, the fine issued to Andrew Aky was well justified and does not need to be overturned.
