   Is the clan your in based in Argonath? If not, then do you need to wear the tag?

It isn't based in argonath but I think if someone from the clan saw me without the tag they'd think I had deserted them.
As for too many characters... I'll have to be:
[1ST]orange[ALSa] or [1ST]lorange[ALSa]

Also, will I lose my passport and licence when I change my name?

No you will not lose pass and license.

You must remove the clan tag if it is not an Argonath gang. Why don't you just pick a whole new name, then the other gang will never know

It's not a gang, it's a group of friends who happen to own a server and script.

Do I still have to remove it? No-one's picked up on it before :'(

If it is a group then you no real reason to wear the tag. If your friends dont want you to play on other servers then thats up to them.
If you really want to join ALS the you are going to have to remove the tag as your name will be to long.
As I said before, come up with a new name, then your friends will never know. And if they really are that uptight then they have got real issues.
