I'm not liking the spoiler rule either. Pictures look much nicer when you're going through the topic and you see them in a long row; spoiler kinda ruins it. Since bandwidth is not a problem, this rule should also be removed.

Sorry for continuing the Off-topic but Gandalf, why is there no mobile version of the forum anymore? I do remember in 2009 or 2010, I could join via a very old phone just to browse and read text, without any images loading but simple text, that way I had no bandwith issue.. It's the same thing as 0.facebook[dot]com.. (If you can access it through your mobile phone, it shows only plain text, no pictures..)

While a group is essentially a roleplay topic, most succesful groups have crossed the line between a roleplay group and a clan.
That should be encouraged instead of limited.
The group topic can be used for anything members wish to exchange, and should not be a form of forum roleplay.
What is never going to be allowed are provocations of any kind or other behaviour that we disallow outside the group topics.

We do not pay for bandwitch, and while at times the performance may suffer from large videos and pictures they on the other hand contribute a lot to a free and positive atmosphere.

You already made rules about non-related stuff so all you gonna be seeing in group topics is pictures. If you don't want to lose bandwidth, then don't go to a group's topic. Spoiler sucks.

Brian made some reasoning to what he thought was improvement. And we whould think about the users who are on a connection with paid bandwith, which is why the production of an app that converts the site would be a good one.

Actually that version still exists, however modern smartphones do no longer use the WAP protocol it is based on.

Unfortunately he has a point, whilst the tags may take up less space which is really not an issue the images still load in the background and will only appear if you click on the show tab. In essence the reasoning behind it is somewhat flawed.

Just tested this from mobile and can confirm. The spoiler tag is pointless nevertheless, so the rule's intentions are invalid. Should be removed.
