Do cops get Armor for free?

Dont remember, But FBI/SWAT(And i think like Captain and higher rank) Can use the /weaponequip to get armour.

Only SWAT, FBI (not sure if it's rank restricted in FBI) and Highranked police (Capt and above) can get free Armour if i remember correct. Regular cops cannot. Armour from SWAT truck gets auto removed by script if anyone enters it in attempt to get a free one..

The SAPD Staff have guidelines when to issue to others if that would be needed. (i doubt it will..) and when to issue to them self. It will be used careful and any kind of "abuse" of it will be punished..

How about this little fact.

In the Uk a large portion of the police force is issued with body armour due to CRIMINALS having guns and knives, both of which most the police DO NOT HAVE. want fair, try REAL LIFE !! cos in RL it is FAR from fair.

Do RL criminals get given armour.... , those that can afford it buy it, although yes its black market sales.


I do not expect general patrols to be carried out in issued armour, however if criminals start to form up in large grops and appear to be threatening a recall will be issued and cops WILL get issued armour, and maybe even heavy weaponary..

Its all down to criminals.. RL and in game !

SWAT when on formal patrol are the only team likely to be commonly seen in armour.

And if you really worried, the issue of all weaponary and armour is totally logged so I can monitor for abuse.  Ths was set up right at the start in case.

Issuing of heavy weapons and armour is restricted and yes can be issued to any cop but the people that can issue it are restricted.

As Pancher said the SWAT truck will not auto give armour.

(and yes your complaint was expected, like usual OMG cops get something for free... its so unfair, oh I cant kill you easily anymore)


To give an idea, any patrols in SF are likely to be required to be in ARMOUR due to actions of a mafia openly targeting cops, so go and blame your buddies !!

It's a dangerous world out there, but i couldn't give a damn if cops are issued free armour of not, it's one of the perks of being a Cop i guess.

Police is financed by goverment, so I do not see any reasons why it should cost anything for police officers.

Hmm ok..but at least lower armor in-game a little..$5000 is a bit extreme! In RS2 scripts we had free armor and $200 armor haha.

I think its good armor is so expensive. Because if it is not everybody gonna run whit armor. And after dead they will return whit armor. Here in belgium every police officer have armour its in the basic equipment. I find that cops must have free armor payed by gouvernement. Whats now the advantage to be a cop... We loose more money then we win. We must pay the fuel of patrolling ur guns and now armor to?? Normaly i find that our guns must be paid by gouvernement its normal taht we dont pay the criminals... So i think all SAPD officers must drive whit armor... I saw alote of servers where all officers have free armor free  TEC 9.. And no freecops at all you need to play 1 month on the server to apply for cop and then maybe you can be a cop... So i think dont do to much balance between cops and criminals.

Why always FBi and SWAT have more advantage?? Free cops cant drive an FBI rancher or an SWAT vehicule but why they can drive sapd cars?? If freecops are allowd to drive SAPD cars their are allowd to to drive FBI ranchers. Why only FBI and swat have free armor?? Why you cant be a criminal in FBI and swat but you can in SAPD... SAPD must always allows everything but swat and fbi can make the rules they want... I want that freecops drive in a buggy or their own vehicule freecops are not part of ARPD so they don touch our patrol cars!!!

Yes we ware free cops to... But if you realy wonna drive cruisers well aplly for
 ARPD and you will be allowd to drive... So their will be more differance between free cops and officers...
Its normal that everybody starts low ranked... So why dont put buggy's for freecops... In real life you dont enter an pd and tehn you exit and you take immidiatly an sapd cruiser... So i think frecops must have less possibility's to have more differance between free cops and sapd... Or we make some sapd cars for freecops at dillimore and lspd cars ares restricted only for officers..

PS: By the way i dont blame CBF thanks CBF for the nice scripts R is amizing good...  I konow CB do this only because all crminals blame in this server.. Criminals cry always well dont be a criminal then... Their is not 1 RP server where you can be cop immidiatly and cops have free armor and guns in every RP server and criminals dont blame their... I aim happy to that sprunk is dissabled so people will enter more shops to eat or more medicx possibilty's

I support that armour is expensive. I would agree with even higher price, as armour should be rare, expensive thing, as not everyone should afford it.

Maybe only ARPD swat and FBI members can use /usegate to prevent that we find alote of cars or alote of cruisers dissapeard... Or when they use an Cruiser you see like FBI and SWAT Only for arpd members..

hmmm...in fact , i think SWAT/FBI should have free Armour.

In real life, SWAT AND FBI are some elite team, and when criminal saw them they will OMFG ! SWAT! Let's run!. 


The swat and fbi will only do some extermly dangerous cases, so the criminals are always armed . And as the gov , they will provide them a free Armour.
Also, in RS4, Criminal take advantages on buying guns. Criminal can share the price of the gun , we tried it before, about 1-2 k, u are very armed.  I Am talking about Extremely ARMED.


:ps: i will rp criminal all the time in rs4, and i am not a part of FBI/swat , so i am not saying to get some advantages.
