Probably I fucked up and doubleposted. Ignore this one.

Awwww finally you agreed that you fucked up in something... Hhhahahaha )))))

You found paradise in Argonath. You had a good game, you made good friends. The admins protected you and there were courts of law. So you didn't need a friend like me. Now you come and say "Aragorn, give me justice." But you don't ask with respect.

I'm going to be getting ahead of myself but I feel like it's worth a shot to at least point it out.

In the past, when we also had Paruni, it had some serious potential in terms of going outside the RPG bubble. Nowadays there are plenty of really great games which offer dedicated servers. Take Minecraft for example, something which worked in the past and works great as we speak. Wouldn't it be good for Argonath to get back to a subsidiary like Paruni to focus on other games as well? The Paruni Counter Strike servers were great fun and surely brought a few people over to Argonath and vice versa.

It's way too early to even consider this taking the current 'problems' in account.. but there's an ever-expanding universe of new players looking for a community where they can just have fun and enjoy themselves. All I'm saying is that at least I (and I'm sure a few others) wouldn't mind to eventually have more diversity in games/servers. It would definitely do this community good.

But again, I got ahead of myself and also realize that a lot needs to be done to even consider this. I'm just curious to see how the owners feel about it.
Yes, I already have some requests and suggestions.
While GTA is our base we have no problem going where the players are.
BUT. We need a team willing to be active and give up their time for more than just a month or so.
Building a server communnity takes months of time and effort, and can be destroyed in a week by no giving attenion.
You have 5 CLs with DLs for the respective servers those CLs come out from to help you guys. We've already been hard at work to look out for new things for the community to play around with and we do have one project currently running ;)

For those reading Aragorn for the first time (or after a long time) do no forge he is he guard dog. If you have bad intention you will not pass him, but gain his trust and he will die for you (or kill others).

As for me, I can place the negative in your argument in your face. You choose if it makes you angry or gives you the motivation to convince me.

There is a question out there to those who have current experience on other servers which they like and are missing here   for whatever reason. We are not talking about rules or vision but about what you like elsewhere and would like to do on the Argonath servers as well. For instance... fight between mafias without cops interfering, or ways to remove endless chase/fight or even playing a fastfood store without being killed. Bring the experience not the rule you think it causes it.

The scariest thing is that I will not even die...
As about all other words - true - if you are with me and trusted - nothing will stop me to protect you... That's my word...

Veeeery glad you brought Paruni to the matter. I, myself literally grew up in the CS 1.6 server since late 2007 (known as Ntinos there) and ended up here on Argonath in 2010. In late 2015 after a conversation with Gandalf joined [R*]'s DM division in order to boost activity right along with my good old buddy @GakgosseN and a couple of other oldies such as Indigo and Ramboten only to watch the entire project blow up in our face due to lack of solid background support. The CS:GO DM server was fairly successful and occasionally hitting very sufficient numbers of players such as 30 to 40 a week.

I'd more than love to participate in Paruni being brought back to life from whatever angle possible. Player, admin, leader or whatever spot needs to be filled. In fact I wouldn't mind contributing with the hosts and all. Paruni has been my entire childhood and I'd love to have a glimpse in the past.. for good this time.

I can see many possibilities in Paruni playing a vital role in order to boost Argonath as a whole. Like it always has been.

I'm definitely sure Indigo will want to have a say in this.. if one of you guys can still reach him. He was by far the greatest leader Paruni ever had. @Gandalf @Aragorn

The very nice feeling when you see three owners are back as in the begining of this comunity.
This smells like a strong comeback  :)

Personally I consider Legolas part of that too. So i'd say four. But that's just a nitpick.

I don't know what to really say to all these discussions but I wanted to let my voice be heard regardless.

As few have pointed out, seeing the owners active gives a feeling of resurrection to me and others. (If that's the correct way to word it?) Make of it yourself if you deem that positive or negative.
With that said, it is easy to make arguments about what went wrong and what should be done but I think it is clear with the earlier post Aragorn made that there is a solution that could satisfy both parties. The two server approach can give the flexibility and freedom to experiment what is currently beloved and sworn on by the community while the regular version will be kept online for people who feel better with it and/or to get statistical and opinional incomes of intel to make way for judgement about what is best for the future.

Owners have the experience, the community as a whole has a lot of smart and dedicated individuals. Teamwork, make it happen!

We are better off loosening up and accepting broader and more individual perspectives so we can communicate more efficiently rather than setting on arguments on every said sentence and proving a point or fact from recent or last years when actual action is requested and the tools are provided (2nd server, I suppose). In other words, working together and combining will help much better with the progress bar rather than working against eachother to prove a single point which could count irrelevant with future developments. Currently the spotlight seems to be on V:MP, so just watch or contribute to it and see what it will end up resulting. If things go well then we can surely expect the treatment for other servers as well although I don't know much about VCMP, SAMP and V:MP since I used to be an IVMP fanatic.

I think this is a good way to phrase what I am trying to say while being neutral. (Even though I feel like I am speaking in behalf of devs, yet that is not my intent)

Signed,

- Kerrar

Thanks for your words. About IV:MP we still have to discuss. Our focus will be where we can get new people to be active. VC:MP is stable and does not need attention. SA:MP seems to be down, SA:MP itself is no longer developed, there are no real alternatives available, but if it changes we allow people to work with it. V:MP can bring a lot of players and has gret potential. IV:MP we have to check player level and status of development.
Minecraft also sill has a lot of potential and here must be some other and new games. And of course GTA:VI may be released soon...:

What happened to Paruni?
There was decent activity when we opened Paruni and the CS servers took off quite fast as I remember, we had like a few severs that was often full.
It's where the growth really can take off, both communities can and should benefit from each other.

Rust is a game where it can attract new people to the community. A well established Rust server with mature & fair admins go a long way and has great potentiel there..

Not active in-game anymore, checking forum from time to time.

It was down for a long time (6 months?) and no one was there to bring it back up, when it was brought back up barely anyone was still there.
