wait, keybinds are when we type something and then if we wanna past it, instad of new writing we press like arrow up and then we see it, or what?

Keybinds are like a preconfigured system where a push of a button does something.

I.E: I press 5 and it does /me attacks for me, I don't have to do anything.

I'm wondering, is it bannable to have keybindings if they dosen't give you andvantage over others, like "/login yourPW" when you are loggin in?

From what i know, standard Keyboards can't do it, but Logitech G15 got a system for key bindings

And it's possible to bind keystrokes to a gaming controller (though I haven't tested it yet).

Correct, keybinds are an advantage over other players.

Example 1: keybind of 'surrender now' for a cop. Press 1 button and shoot to kill 'I asked to surrender'.
example 1: keybind /gu for criminal. HP almost to 0 ? pres a key and tell 'the cops abused me, I surrendered'

If found, keybinds can get you banned.

In second after /gu, while frozen, you CANNOT die.

You can die after /gu, but the cop who killed you gets fined, also, you get your weapons back.

This can also be abused, criminals can use /gu on purpose just when a Cop is about to deal the final blow.

I just don't understand the meaning of "Keybinds are bannable."

Before I knew about this unofficial rule (That is not an official rule.) I had keys binded for /m1, /m2, /s3, and /usegate. I also had a simple keybind that told the player to surrender. The reason I preferred to have it keybinded is because to many regulars wait until you start typing to kill you. I was yelled at by an admin for having keybinds. I did not understand this, if anything keybinds help the RP. Cops die everyday because regular players wait for them to type, and then the officer gets a combat shotgun to the face. This is a bullshit rule, that should NOT be enforced unless made an OFFICIAL rule of Argonath. You might want to look into that.

It's not giving me ANY advantage over another player. And plus, there is no way to PROVE that someone is using keybinds in the first place. You can ban people all you want, you will never know the truth because it is undetectable.

If you wish to quote the official rules, then you should quote THIS topic.
The one you quotes is a 'guide' and NOT official.

- NO CHEATS, NO MODS, NO HACKS;
- NO HELIKILLING, NO CARKILLING, NO RAMMING, NO CARJACKING;
- NO GLITCHES, that give you advantage over other players (attacking from glitched areas);

Keybinds can be considered a mod or glitch.
As for our general actions, note that unless we are able to see you playing, the use of keybinds is hard to discover, and if not used to get an advantage over others we are not enforcing it to the limit.
However to avoid abuse for advantage, they are not allowed.
