Seriously though, we live in a mainly male-dominated world. If you go to some places in the world where females dominate the culture, you could possibly find things like that happening if their culture partakes in such actions and activities.

He probably should have said that men aren't discriminated against sexually as much as women. Even though your response was a bit tasteless, you are correct in implying that men are also discriminated against, even sexually.

The reason why they create such topics and organizations is because the world sees them as inferior and different, and thus discriminates against them, so to fight the discrimination, they make themselves known so people learn the truth from their point of view, thus hopefully spreading acceptance instead of hate. If they were seen by society as completely equal, the said topic and organizations likely wouldn't exist.

The whole idea of "fighting the discrimination" to make themselves known is frowned upon by society. People won't react by saying: "Hey, these people might be alright!" Instead, they will react with more hatred or just become distant. It is technically impossible to consider them equal; their sexual orientation is different. They don't have to go around telling random people they have a boyfriend named X or a girlfriend named Y.

Actually that's not always true. By making themselves known, they are standing up and saying that there's many more people with that sexual preference, making them seem less and less "weird" by those around them. They are also attempting to educate people who think they are weird for being "different", and many times it actually works as people realize they are just like everyone else. In today's world, it's mainly those afraid of change and people who are strong religious believers that are against the LGBT community at this point. There's not many people outside of those two categories that are still against them.

Nothing is impossible, and I don't see where that statement is coming from. Just because someone has a different opinion or preference than you doesn't mean you can't accept them as another normal human being.

We are not talking about man buying the gal a ticket to the nightclub, but actual nightclub policy of women getting free entry and free first drink. Also another discrimination by both sex and age. Ship is sinking - Women and children first! Why should they get to go first? I would say that is discrimination.

Well children is a bit obvious because they have their whole lives ahead of them, whereas adults have already spent most of their lives, so that one is more of a "not being selfish" thing, but as for adult men and women, that part comes from the whole era of the early 1800's and 1900's of being a "gentleman" to "ladies". Society formed that view way back when, and it has trickled down to the core of the world's society today. I agree, it is sexist, but it's probably one of the lesser extreme examples as well. Not arguing with you on your statement, just explaining the origins of that one.
