hey yalls. so i been looking for some audio enhancement for my car. my merc came with a DVD/mp3 flip up screen audio deck and in the back there is a cable connection for subwoofer, and i been thinking to get one or something, but the issue is i dont have any knowledge when it comes to sound systems in the car. (like amps, voltage, watts, ect..)

so i checked out ebay and found this right here: 12" subwoofer with box and 800w amp with wiring, all for 100$. thinking maybe get one of these shits

I'd do my research first if I were you. You may think, well it's just $100 but there's probably a reason for it, the brand is also completely unknown and has no rep whatsoever. Never taken the plunge for audio myself as the 406s JBLs are, well quite excellent for a 13 year old car  But, yeah, google around for a car audio-freak forum and they'd be more helpful or wait for our neighborhood audiophile, Madb00b

Complete and utter bollucks, avoid it. In reality the amp and the sub would see no where near the quoted 400 RMS at that price point.
I'd recommend purchasing some decent amped component speakers for the front and a sub in the back. You'd seriously be better off buying a good used combo rather than buying shit new stuff.
What's the model number of your headunit and what's your budget for the wiring, sub+enclosure and amp?

That is a waste of money and time. Seems like some cheap ricer style sound system.

If you're adding some sound at least do it with quality.
