Teach the players the concept by making them earn money.
That means you should not teach them to be greedy and collect money.
What you should teach them is to give away money to people who help them, who work for them or just for fun.

When cops make money by arrest or jail, how often do they share with those who helped ? When someone is playing a bartender, how many people send him money regardless of there beng a script to buy drinks ? When someone gives you a ride, how many people give some moeny as thanks ?
If all players would start moving money, there would still be people who are rich and people who are not. But many people would have more fun, and make friends easier.

The problem is, if it doesn't give you scripted money then people do it but if it is RP money then it won't turn around

And yes you do not give a damn about having a house or a business, because you simply do not use a house or business, you spend most of your time driving a free police cruiser, with free Deagle and a spray can, its like 10% i see you off duty, stading at Pershing square. No offense but as i said, everyone has his own purpose, and you're not everyone.

Besides that, I understand all your points. Money should be given away as a reward for the work someone did. I am currently saving money to pay my (daily) newspaper employees in the future when it is up and running.

Please talk about yourself, ive already mentioned it, it varies from players goals and roles. You're a cop right? You for example dont need money, but a Mobster does.

This thing about giving away your cash and being so helpful, doing events etc.. doesnt make you genereous, you said it yourself.

I used to be a criminal, for like the first 4-5 months i was here i was a criminal. I didn't need money then, Didn't need it now. You and Panda are both right though, Police do have less things needed to purchase which is why less money is spent. But nevertheless, Money is still not needed for everything.

Old players, make up a business, get workers and start RPing a business corporation. Maybe then there'll be more fun....

Instead of doing events, have real fun by RPing, not by eventing. After all, RPG server.

Players care to much about money. Which will result in moaning and other things. It would be damn nice if most of the money circulates though rp businesses and other stuff related with rp. But sadly that is not how it works and how it never will work... But there should be atleast a little bit more rp jobs.

Giving roleplay jobs to newcommers is great, you start with something easy, and then you're doing it harder and harder.

At the end, they are ready to move on and use their own heads
This is also a great method to make friends, trust me.

Lottos, events and paydays are quite active on the server, so a new, active player can be quite rich in a couple of days. We're just like the new guys, except for that we have a little bit more experience in the server than them. If we need money, we work(jobs, events etc). Not everyone are richies.
