Why the fuck should we allow the spread of "srs" RP servers here, or more specifically, the concept of IC/OOC? Roleplayers have the right to practice free will in Argonath, unlike the srs RP servers. As long as they are bound to the rules, they may roleplay how they want. "Whatever floats yer boat, even if it's scotch tape and cardboard."

btw, i could care less if this argument is endless. i find entertainment from arguing ^_^

Players have the right to do as they will on Argonath, so long as they do not violate the rules and attempt to stray Argonath from the Argonath Vision, which is what infecting it with IC/OOC mindsets does, as it turns the server into a jungle of "Roleplay" rules.

For a one-party oligarchy government, the community has a lot of freedom. Players can repay that by trying not to fuck Argonath into becoming just another one of the SRS-RP servers.

Some people just like to enforce their own rules on themselves. Whatever floats their boat... as long as it doesn't directly affect us.

I enforce my own rule on myself. The rule states that when I am confronted with a certain RP style, whether it be IC/OOC, not using it, using lol wtf bbq and u instead of you in /l, or goofy roleplay, I am to adapt to their RP style to make the most out of it for both of us.

I will not deny that a few players from srs rp servers have used IC/OOC and tried to enforce it on other players. Most of them do not stay for so long, because apparently, not using IC/OOC is too "nooby" for them . Those who say other people are nooby or idiots or whatever for not using their style of roleplay are truly idiots themselves and deserved to be banished from this community. Any roleplay style or self-enforced rule should be welcomed as long as they do not make a problem out of it.

See what I mean, buddy? To hell with IC/OOC people who mistreat those who don't, not to those who use IC/OOC and don't even comment about those who don't. I don't care if someone strays away from the original purpose of /em or whatever, as long as they don't complain about me using it my own way, it shouldn't be a problem.

I find the biggest problem not in those who directly enforce "IC/OOC" on people, but in those players who just ignore everything and keep the rule to themselves and treat messages by marking (with brackets), not by context - which in fact, affects others, especially those who do not use it at all.

And I never understood how could you call this a "style". It's a rule, or eventually you could call it a handicap...

RP??? Thats funny, here RP is low, i mean you want to RP and everybody does nothing but shoot shoot shoot. What the hell, and sometimes they are like "I'm not in the mod for RP bla bla bla". I mean no disrespect, but the RP force here is way low, there was something back in 2009-2010

You want to know whats funny? People have been saying 'turn the server into srs RP' shit for what, 2 and a half years now? Has it happened yet? Will it? No... Aragorn and Gandalf  have both made it clear, must someone echo it for the thousandth time? At least re-word it to be sophisticated...

Also, I  think this was a great discussion whether it made changes or not. Why cant there be an argument here or there? Maybe we will all be good childs and after holding in so much anger and frustration we burst and leave or change dramatically for the worst... its happened before. If you don't like discussion or arguments you can leave the server and dont let the door hit your ass on the way out..
